Macallan Remix Remixed

To commemorate the 75th birthday of photographer Daido Moriyama, Macallan launched The Macallan Masters of Photography: Capsule Edition - Daido Moriyama ‘Remix, Remixed’.

Released exclusively to the Asian travel retail market, it features Daido Moriyama work from his book of the same name ‘Remix’. Each book includes a series of inspired French fold pages and has been hand-signed by the photographer.

The whisky was selected by Macallan’s Bob Dalgarno and matured in cask number 15245, which was a first fill sherry seasoned oak cask and bottled at cask strength.

Macallan Royal Marriage 1981

A wonderful addition to any Macallan collection, the Royal Marriage bottling was released in 1981 to celebrate the marriage of The Prince of Wales to  Lady Diana Spencer.

A marriage of casks from 1948 and 1961, the years of the couples' births.

Excellent condition fill level is lower neck.

An extremely limited bottling from Macallan, only 245 bottles of this were produced for the Annie Leibovitz 'Master of Photography edition.  

The bottle carries an image of actor Kevin McKidd pictured on 'Tudor City' arguably the first residential skyscrapper on the east side of Manhattan.

Macallan Oscutro  / Lalique Kazak Horse 

A stunning bottle of Macallan Oscuro produced alongside a Lalique rearing Kazak Horse.

Sold exclusively at travel retail (initially Hong Kong International Airport) and imited to a mere 300 sets worldwide, this is incredibly rare.

The Macallan Oscuro was created using whisky distilled between 1987 and 1997 and in true Macallan fashion is full of plenty of sherried characteristics.

Macallan Diamond Jubilee

Released in 2012 this specially designed bottle bears a unique image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by the sculptor Arnold Martin.

The contents of this bottle were specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen's accession and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated.  Bottled at 52% in line with the year of the Queen's accession, only 2,012 bottles were released.

Talisker 1955 Secret Stills No. 1.1 Isle of Skye

As with the rest of the Secret Stills range this single malt is not named, however they do offer a clue that it was distilled at Carbost on the Isle of Skye. Will we ever solve this mystery?

Talisker 1981 20 Year Old

Bottled in 2002 as part of Diageo's Super Premium release.  This Talisker, distilled in 1981 has quickly become very desirable - no thanks to Jim Murray who scored this 95 points and making the comment 'Miss this and your life will be incomplete'. 

Matured in a sherry cask and released as a 20 year old this is bottle number 5968 of 9,000.

The latest in the Macallan royal bottlings, this release from June 2013 consists of two 35cl bottles with a box designed by David Holmes. An exclusive blend produced by Ichiro Akuto the owner of Chichibu distillery and the man responsible for bringing Hanyu and Karuizawa casks to the market.  

This blend was produced for Isetan, Singapore and is a blend of Hanyu and Kawasaki both closed distilleries.  Aged between 12 and 35 years old, released October 2012.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
