Flora and Fauna Complete Collection - 26 Bottles

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

Hanyu 2000 Two of Clubs Single Cask

A single cask from closed Japanese distillery Hanyu and bottled as part of the Ichiro's Malt Series of whiskies.

Distilled in 2000 then matured in Hogshead before being finished in Cask 9500 which was a Japanese Oak Mizunara Hogshead.

Bottle number 70 of 318.

Talisker 1955 Secret Stills No. 1.1 Isle of Skye

As with the rest of the Secret Stills range this single malt is not named, however they do offer a clue that it was distilled at Carbost on the Isle of Skye. Will we ever solve this mystery?

At close to half a century old, this is a genuine rarity.

Hanyu Ichiro's Malt The Joker 'Colour'

The 54th and final bottling in Ichiro's Card Series.

There are two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White.  This particular bottling is the Colour Joker, a vatting of 14 casks covering vintages from 1985, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 2000.  The casks used for this final bottling include a sherry butt, puncheon, hogshead, Cognac, chibidaru, Madeira hogshead and bourbon.

Only 3,640 bottles of this highly anticipated whisky have been made available.

Talisker 1981 20 Year Old

Bottled in 2002 as part of Diageo's Super Premium release.  This Talisker, distilled in 1981 has quickly become very desirable - no thanks to Jim Murray who scored this 95 points and making the comment 'Miss this and your life will be incomplete'. 

Matured in a sherry cask and released as a 20 year old this is bottle number 5968 of 9,000.

Tomintoul 1977 Single Cask 36 Year Old

A single cask Tomintoul distilled on 12th April 1977 and bottled on 14th May 2013.

This sherry cask #3691 yielded 312 bottles, this is bottle number 158.

Hanyu 2000 Single Cask #957

A recent bottling of this increasingly sought after closed Japanese distillery.

Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2014 for La Maison Du Whisky.

Highland Park 30 Year Old (Old Style)

A highly acclaimed whisky, this is the older packaging of Highland Park 30 year old.

Taketsuru 25 Year Old

A very rare bottling of Taketsuru, originally introduced in 2012 this blended malt contains casks from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.

It is extremely limited and only 120 bottles were available throughout Europe.

Hanyu 2000 Whisky Talk 2012 

Limited to only 446 bottles this 2000 vintage Hanyu was bottled in 2012 to mark the Whisky Talk 2012 event in Fukuoka.

Highland Park 1967

Bottled in 1991 this is a fantastic example of Highland Park distilled in the 1960s, presented in this attractive black box inlaid with a map of the Orkney isles.

Hazelwood 105 (Kininvie) 1990

A very limited bottling of Hazelwood aka Kininvie.  

This 15 year old single malt was gifted to staff members at the distillery and was released to celebrate the 105th birthday of Janet Sheed Roberts on August 13th 2006.

Bottled at 105 proof, 52.5% and was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks.

Highland Park Thor 16 Year Old

The first in Highland Park's Valhalla series released in 2012 which also comprises of  the Loki and Freya released over the next two consecutive years.

This 16 year old Highland Park is a limited edition of 23,000 bottles.  

Hillside 1970 Rare Malt 25 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Hillside, more widely known as Glen Esk released a handful of  Rare Malt bottlings, two of them were released in Europe from 1970 and 1971 as 25 years old.

This particular bottled was distilled in 1970 and bottled as a 25 year old

Highland Park Thor 16 Year Old

The first in Highland Park's Valhalla series released in 2012 which also comprises of  the Loki and Freya released over the next two consecutive years.

This 16 year old Highland Park is a limited edition of 23,000 bottles.

Highland Park 25 Year Old

An older styled bottling of Highland Park 25 Year Old presented in the old round wooden box with their iconic sloped shoulder bottle.

Hennessy Paradis Cognac Circa 1970s/1980s

Hennessy was established in 1979 and quickly became known as one of the World's most reknowned Cognac producers.  The Paradis is a blend of pver 100 eaux de vie from ages between 30 and 100 years old.

This release is from the 1970s/1980s and is presented in an elegant decanter and box.

Taketsuru 21 Year Old 80th Anniversary

This blend range is named after Nikka founder and key member of the birth of Japanese whisky, Masataka Taketsuru. This blended malt was  released to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Nikka.

Un-chillfiltered and Madeira finished.

Highland Park 1968 Hart Brothers 27 Year Old

A stunning vintage Highland Park from 1968, bottled by Hart Brothers after 27 years.

Matured in a sherry cask.
