Springbank 22 Year Old Cadenhead's 1970s

A very rare bottling of Springbank at  22 years old by Cadenheads.

Bottled at 26 2/3rd fluid ounces and 80% proof during the 1970s , this makes a very exciting 1950s distillation!

Ichiro's Blend for Isetan (Hanyu and Kawasaki)

An exclusive blend produced by Ichiro Akuto the owner of Chichibu distillery and the man responsible for bringing Hanyu and Karuizawa casks to the market.  

This blend was produced for Isetan, Singapore and is a blend of Hanyu and Kawasaki both closed distilleries.  Aged between 12 and 35 years old, released October 2012.

Speyburn 1967 Cadenhead's 12 Year Old

Distilled in March 1967 and bottled July 1979 and bottled by Cadenhead. 

St Magdalene 1979 Rare Malt 19 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

A spectacular bottling of St Magdalene, released as part of Diageo's infamous 'Rare Malt Selection'.  

Distilled in 1979 and bottled as a 19 year old at a healthy 63.80%, this is bottle number 4334.

St Magdalene 1982 Berry Brothers and Rudd

A rather splendid bottling of St Magdalene distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2008 from single cask #2199.

Ichiro's Malt Mizunara Wood Reserve

A vatting of the closed Japanese distillery of Hanyu with that of the relatively young distillery of Chichibu, where this whisky was matured, married and bottled.

The whiskies were matured in Mizunara Oak casks (Japanese Oak).

Springbank 1997 Madeira Finish 16  Year Old

Distilled in June 1997 then matured for 10 years in refill bourbon prior to a further 6 years of maturation in fresh madeira. Bottled in October 2013. 

One of only 630 bottles. 

Inchgower 1980 Dewar Rattray 25 Year Old

Distilled in Decmeber 1980 and bottled in May 2006 from single sherry cask number 14161. 

One of 486 bottles. 

Slight rust on inside of lid and number written on outside of lid. 

Strathmill 1977 Douglas Laing 30 Year Old

Distilled April 1977 and bottled in December 2007. 

One of 302 bottles.

Springbank 1997 Odd Casks #377

Springbank produced these very limited bottlings due to alligations of being odd for suspending production during 2008. A rival distiller is quoted by Daily Mail as saying  \"An odd decision from a very odd bunch of people\". The distillery decided to run a competition asking Springbank fans what they thought ODD may stand for. The winner was \"Original, Distinct, Defiant,\" the words which now appear on the label.

Cask #377 has been matured in a fresh rum cask.

Sheep Dip 1990 Old Hebridean

This 1990 vintage of Sheep Dip blended malt contains whisky from Ardbeg, Dalmore and Fettercairn, which was then married for 10 years in first fill sherry casks.

Speyburn 21 year old distilled in 1978 and bottled in 1999 from single cask #2713.

Inchgower 1980 Signatory Vintage 27 Year Old

Distilled November 1980 and bottled February 2008 from cask 13276. 

Bottle number 20 of 200. 

Springbank 1989 SMWS 13 Year Old 27.50

Distilled March 1989 and bottled in March 2003, a 13 year old Springbank at cask strength. 

Springbank 1989 14 Year Old Port Wood

Distilled in 1989 then bottled in February 2003. 

One of 3120 Bottles. 

Springbank 12 Year Old Claret Wood

Springbank have released a number of wood finish whiskies, this particular bottle was matured in a refill bourbon barrel for 9 years before being finished in Claret casks for 3 further years.

Distilled in May 1997 and bottled in February 2010, 9,360 bottles were released.

Scapa 14 Year Old

Scapa 14 year old has been discontinued since 2008, when it was replaced by the 16 year old.

Imperial 1995 Signatory Vintage 19 Year Old

Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2015, this is from the closed Speyside distillery Imperial. 

Bottle number 280. 

Springbank 1996 Duncan Taylor Port Cask

10 Year old Springbank finished in a port cask. 

Springbank 1991 15 Year Old Bourbon Cask

Distilled in December 1991 and then bottled February 2004. 

One of 5986 bottles.

Springbank 1989 12 Year Old Rum Wood Finish

Distilled in 1989  and matured for 12 years in hogsheads and traditional barrels, finished in rum wood.

Bottled April 2002 and limited to 5,700 bottles.

I.W. Harper Gold Medal - 1980's

The I.W is named after Isaac Wolfe Bernheim, who founded the brand. With his brother he helped establish Louisville, Kentucky as a centre for Bourbon production.  

Ichiro's Malt and Grain

A blend from Ichiro Akuto.

A rather complicated blend at that, the mix could include whisky from his own stocks of Hanyu and Karuizawa as well Chichibu and even more interesting is that  there may be components distilled at other Japanese distilleries and from other countries.

Afterall the label does read 'This is a Worldwide blended whisky'.

Imperial 1995 Gordon and Macphail

Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2014 by Gordon and Macphail.

Mothballed in 1998, Imperial distillery has been completely demolished and is becoming increasingly sought after. 

Scapa 16 Year Old

Scapa released this 16 year old expression in 2008 to replace the popular 14 year old which had been discontinued.
