Highland Park 50 Year Old

One of the most talked about releases of recent years, this 50 year old is the oldest whisky bottled by Highland Park.

This incredibly rare bottling of Highland Park was bottled from a combination of five refill casks from 1960.  The casks were married together to 'harmonise' their flavours before being bottled, a process Highland Park calls 'cask harmonisation'.

The bottle has been designed by New York based Jeweller Maeve Gillies who grew up in Edinburgh.  The bottle which is created from hand-crafted sterling silver is inspired by the forces of nature and in particular the sea, using her jewellery making expertise the bottle features a metallic 'net' design, a piece of Orkney sandstone carved with the Highland Park logo and a hidden silver replica of the Rose Window from St Magnus Cathedral.  

One of only 275 bottles produced.

Hanyu Ichiro's Malt The Joker 'Monochrome'

The final bottling in Ichiro's Card Series.

This is one of two Joker's released to complete the 54 bottle series, one in colour and one in Black and White (Monochrome).  This Monochrome Joker is arguably one of the rarest releases from Japan and is a fitting finale for this incredible series of whiskies.

The Monochrome Joker was distilled in 1985 and matured in a hogshead before a second period of maturation in a Mizunara cask, cask number #1024.  This is bottle number 23 of 241.

Highland Park 1964 / Orcadian Vintage 

A truly remarkable Highland Park, distilled in 1964 this is the oldest release as part of their 'Orcadian Vintage Series', consisting of the Highland Park 1968 also available in this auction and the 1970.

Released in 2009 this was a vatting of two hogsheads, casks #8737 and #8738 yielded only 290 bottles.  

The presentation as always with Highland Park is spectacular, a hard wood case with a silver Highland Park amulet logo inlay and a stunning black glass bottle.

Hanyu 2000 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #9523 / Ace of Clubs​

Part of the legendary card series produced by Ichiro Akuto.  

Distilled at the lost Japanese distillery of Hanyu in 2000 and bottled in 2012 from cask #9523.

This rare Hanyu was initially matured in a traditional hogshead before a second maturation in a Mizunara puncheon.

Highland Park 35 Year Old / John Goodwin Retirement 

A very very rare bottling of Highland Park released to commemorate the retirement of the company Chairman John Goodwin.

Distilled in 1962 and bottled in October 1997, the same length of time that John Goodwin served with the business.

Bottle and box are in excellent condition.

Highland Park 1968 / Orcadian Vintage 

Following the release of the 1964 Orcadian Vintage, the 1968 followed suit in November 2009.

This was a vatting of eight hogsheads, which yielded only 1,550 bottles.

Hanyu 1988 Full Proof 'Caber Tossing' Single Cask #9204 (Bottle No.1)  Including Picture

Single cask Hanyu with an interesting tale to tell. This is bottle number one... of 204, however this cask was bottled in two halfs. So the total bottle number was 408, there is no batch number so the only way to tell the difference between the first and second batch, is the misspelling of \"Puncheon\" on the label. As this is the first bottle of the first batch it has the spelling error. 

Hanyu 1990 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #527 / Ten of Diamonds​

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2011. 

Originally bottled in a hogshead then matured in American oak puncheon.

Hanyu 1988 Ichiro's Malt 'Card' #7100 / Eight of Clubs​

Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2011 from cask number 7100. 

Initially matured in hogshead prior to being finished in American oak puncheon.

Bottle number 376 of 561. 

Hanyu 1988 Full Proof 'Nice Butt' Single Cask #9307 (Bottle No.2)

Bottled for Full Proof from cask number 9307, this is a 19 Year old Hanyu.

Bottle number 2 of 534. 

Hanyu 2000 Six of Spades Single Cask #1303

One of several of Ichiro's Malts released within the infamous 'Card Series'.  The Six of Spades was distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2011.

Matured in a hogshead before being moved into a sherry butt for final maturation.

Bottle number 161 of 661.

Only 3,640 bottles of this highly anticipated whisky have been made available.

The last in Highland Park's Valhalla series released in 2015 which also comprises of  the Thor, Loki and Freya released one per year over the last three years.

This 16 year old Highland Park is a limited edition of 17,000 bottles.

This 16 year old Highland Park is a limited edition of 23,000 bottles.  

Hakushu 1999 SMWS 14 Year Old 120.7

A rare independant single cask Hakushu distilled in September 1999 and bottled as a 14 year old by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Matured in a first fill Bota Corta Butt.

Cardhu 12 Year Old 1960s

A very old bottling of Cardhu 12 year old, circa 1970s.  Includes a lovely leaflet explaining why Cardhu is so rare.

Caol Ila “ Rare Malts “ 21yo. Ltd. Edition

The Rare Malts are a Limited Edition series of cask-strength single malts, issued, and designed by Diagio to show off some of the lesser known distilleries in their Empire, most are now closed or mothballed and the bottlings sought after by collectors.  This 21yo. Caol Ila is bottle no. 6875 distilled in 1975 & bottled 1996 @ 61.3% and 70cl..  In original box, level is in the neck, entire package is pristine.
