Macallan Royal Wedding

The first of the Royal releases from Macallan is a limited edition bottling of only 1,000 bottles celebrating the Royal Marriage of Prince William to Catherine Middleton on 29th April 2011.

Bottled from two casks, both filled on 29th April – one from 1996 and one from 1999.

The creation of this special bottle follows the release of a commemorative edition to mark the marriage of Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. This comprised two casks, one from each of their birth years. At the time, the bottle sold out and today is highly sought-after by collectors of The Macallan around the world.

In keeping with this original bottling, The Macallan commissioned the creative force behind the 1981 bottle, David Holmes, who was also one of the architects of our advertising campaign in the 1980s and the early 1990s, to create the label and packaging design.

Macallan Diamond Jubilee

Released in 2012 this specially designed bottle bears a unique image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II created by the sculptor Arnold Martin.

The contents of this bottle were specially chosen for the months it was drawn from the casks, 6th February, the Queen's accession and the first week in June, traditionally when the Jubilees are celebrated.  Bottled at 52% in line with the year of the Queen's accession, only 2,012 bottles were released.

Replacement box is also available in this lot.

The latest in the Macallan royal bottlings, this release from June 2013 consists of two 35cl bottles with a box designed by David Holmes. One bottle depicts the queen from 1953, matured solely in American oak sherry seasoned casks, while the other matured in Spanish sherry seasoned casks.   Only 1,953 boxes were produced to convey the date of the coronation in 1953.

Only available on Macallan’s website or at the distillery this quickly became one of the fastest selling releases of 2013.

Macallan 1959 (26 2/3rds fl oz)

Distilled in 1959 this very old bottling of Macallan was bottled by Gordon and Macphail at 80 proof.

Glendronach 1968 25 Year Old

There are a number of famous Glendronach's from 1968 and this is no different, originally bottled for the US market - a few went missing and eventually discovered in a warehouse and sold here. 

This is the original Glendronach 25 year old, from 1968 which Serge Valentin from Whisky Fun explains is 'A tremendous sherry monster', scoring 90 pts.

Macallan 1995 Easter Elchies 2009

The 2009 Easter Elchies bottling was from a single sherry hogshead cask #14016, distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2009.

Macallan 1963 75.7cl (26 2/3rd fl oz)

Good condition bottle of Macallan distilled in 1963 and bottled prior to January 1st 1981, at 26 2/3rd fluid ounces (75.7cl).

The bottle is in good condition, the neck label is coming slightly loose and there is a slight crease to the label at the bottom corner.  The box is also in good condition with the exception of the creases and tears to the very top (as shown in the photo).

Glenmorangie 1971 (The Culloden Bottle)

Released in 1996 to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Culloden the final battle of the Jacobites lead by Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Only 2,500 bottles were produced in associate with The National Museum of Scotland, this is bottle number 318.

Certificate of authenticity is included.

Glenury Royal 1970 36 Year Old

Glenury Royal distilled in 1970 and matured for 36 years was released along side Diageo's Special releases in 2006,

Limited to 1,926 bottles this is number 797.

Old Comber 30 Year Old 1980s 75cl

The Old Comber distillery was located in Comber, county Down in Northern Ireland.  Like the mjority of Ireland's distilleries, distilling ceased at Old Comber in 1952, which makes this an amazing piece of Irish Whiskey heritage.

This 30 year old bottle was bottled during the 1980s and represents the last bottlings ever released from this long lost distillery.

Millburn 1975 25 Year Old Rare Malt

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Millburn  distilled in 1975 and bottled in the October 2001,at 61.9%

Glen Esk 1971 30 Year Old Silver Seal

Distilled at Glen Esk aka Hillside distillery in 1971 and bottled by the Silver Seal Company in 2001, 30 years later.

Glenfarclas 40 Year Old

Bottled at 46% vol from Casks Specially selected by George S. Grant, Director of Sales and the sixth generation of the family who own and manage the distillery. A fantastic whisky from one of Scotland's last independents.

Glen Keith 1970 40 Year Old Silver Seal

Bottled by Silver Seal for the Italian market.  Distilled at Glen Keith distillery in 1970 and bottled in 2011, 40 years later.

Glen Albyn 1966 Gordon and Macphail 

Glen Albyn, closed in 1983, this astronishingly old 1966 vintage from Gordon and Macphail was bottled in 2005 making the whisky almost 40 years old.

Glenmorangie Cognac Matured 14 Year Old

A very rare Glenmorangie, fully matured for 14 years in Merrain Oak previously used to matured Cognac.

Bottle number 170 of 850.

There is minor staining on the inside of this box.

Glenmorangie 25 Year Old Quarter Century

A very extravagant bottle and box that is perhaps quite obviously provided by the very best designers at LVMH.

Midleton Very Rare 2003 Edition

This famous blend of whiskies was produced by Jameson's Master Distiller, Barry Crockett. Midleton Very Rare was released in very limited quantities on an annual basis since 1984, until 2012 when it was replaced by the equally desirable and acclaimed Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy.

The whiskey is aged somewhere between 12 and 25 years and matured solely in Bourbon casks.  Each bottle carries a signature from Barry Crocket and has an individual bottle number, this particular bottle is # 011218 and carries a certificate of authenticity.

Glenfiddich Centenary Limited Edition

A very rare limited bottling of Glenfiddich that was bottled on Christmas Day 1986 to celebrate 100 years of the distillery.

Only 12,000 bottles released.

Glen Elgin 19 Year Old Centenary Bottling

This 19 year old Glen Elgin was releaed in 2000 to celebrate the distillery's first distillation on the 1st May 1900.

Macallan 1876 Replica

The second replica release from Macallan, this is a combination of two casks of pre-twentieth century Macallan were discovered, resulting in a recreation by Macallan's Master Blender to create this old style of Macallan.

The packaging is an immitation of the victorian style from this era.

Glenmorangie 15 Year Old Artein

A whisky born of stone, Artein is gaelic for stone as the whisky represents the rocky terroir of it's provence

Glenmorangie Artein was released into Glenmorangie's Private Edition series in 2011, finished in Super-Tuscan wine casks.

A lovely old bottling of Glenlivet 15 year old by Gordon and Macphail, under the George & J.G.Smith's labelling.

Glenallachie 1969 Gordon and Macphail Cask Strength

Distilled on 6th May 1969 and bottled in December 1987 by Gordon and Macphail at natural cask strength of 56.8%

A limited edition Glenfiddich only available at the distillery, bottled by hand. A vatting of sherry, bourbon and new oak and married using Glenfiddich's solera vat.

Gordon and Macphail 50th Royal Wedding Anniversary Decanter

Bottled by Gordon and Macphail to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and his Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, from 1947 to 1997.

Filled with selected malt whiskies from a the five decades of 1940-1990s.  Includes a certificate of authenticity.

Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Distillery Exclusive - Hand Filled

A limited edition Glenfiddich only available at the distillery, bottled by hand. A vatting of sherry, bourbon and new oak and married using Glenfiddich's solera vat.

Glenfiddich Cask of Dreams 2012

Quite an unusual story behind this one.  

Idividuals were asked to sign and record their dreams on casks that was travelling around America.  Once finished of the tour the cask was flown back to Scotland and filled with 14 year old Glenfiddich and matured for a further three months.  The total out-turn of the Cask of Dreams was 3,500 bottles available only within the US.

A limited edition Glenfiddich created by Brian Kinsman to reflect 125 years of pioneering spirit at Glenfiddich, this whisky was crafted to the style of Glenfiddich in William Grant's day (125 year earlier).

The Glenfiddich 125 Anniversary is a marriage of peated Glenfiddich whiskies matured mainly in American oak casks.
