Karuizawa 1969 42 Year Od Single Cask #8183

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim, this one perhaps more than most!

It is amazing that whiskies such as this have been bottled in recent years given how few casks of Karuizawa are remaining. There are now not many as old as this and we doubt there will be many (if any at all) that will match this age in the future.

Distilled in December 1969 and bottled 42 years later in August 2012, this is legendary cask #8183  which oddly is a 400 litre ex-bourbon cask.

Ardbeg 1974 Provenance 23 Year Old (1st Release)

The first release of  the legendary  Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 23 years until being released in late 1997.

Matured in bourbon casks, roughly 4,000 of these were released to the EU and Asia.

These whiskies are highly acclaimed and desirable, the bottle and box are in perfect condition, including certificate and tartan insert.

Ardbeg 1974 Provenance 26 Year Old (US Import)  75cl

One of the legendary Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 26 years until being released in early 2000, imported into the US by Brown-Forman, this is a 75cl bottle.

These whiskies are highly acclaimed and desirable, the bottle and box are in perfect condition, including certificate and tartan insert.

Karuizawa 1994 Noh Single Cask 15 Year Old

A single cask Karuizawa bottled within the infamous 'Noh' series, with the usual friendly face on the front!

Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2010 from a single sherry butt with cask number #270, which yielded 480 bottles.

Ardbeg 1976 Single Cask #2395 Exclusive for Japan

A very highly sought after Ardbeg, distilled on 24th November 1976 and bottled on 26th March 2002.

This 25 year old single cask Ardbeg was sold exclusively in Japan, bottled from cask #2395 which yielded only 468 bottles.

Karuizawa 1984 SMWS 132.1 28 Year Old

Like all Karuizawa's this has become incredibly sought after, the first bottling of Karuizawa for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Otherwise known as 'Secret Moonlight Garden Dram'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 30th August 1984 and bottled as a 28 year old, matured exclusively in a single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 229 bottles.

Ardbeg 1975 Douglas Laing 29 Year Old

A rare independant bottling of Ardbeg, distilled in March 1975.

Released within Douglas Laing's Old and Rare collection, this 29 year old was bottled in October 2004.

Ardbeg Lord of the Isles 25 Year Old

The Ardbeg Lord of the Isles, 25 year old is a highly sought after and inconic Ardbeg released between 2002 and 2007.

Named after the 'Lord of the Isles' who ruled the Western Isles and parts of Argyll between the 12th and 15th Centuries..

Bottle code L5 347 04:29 4ML - 13th December 2005.

Karuizawa 1999 SMWS 132.5 14 Year Old

Otherwise known as 'Sweet and Darkly Beguiling'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 25th June 1999 and bottled as a 14 year old in 2013.  

A single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 495 bottles.

Ardbeg Very Young For Discussion 1997

The very first release of Ardbeg Very Young, bottled ‘For Discussion’ with the Ardbeg Committee.  Containing some of the first spirit created under the ownership of Glenmorangie PLC, distilled during in 1997 bottled 12^th November 2003.

Matured using first fill casks only 4002 bottles ever existed.

Karuizawa 1991 SMWS 132.2 22 Year Old

Otherwise known as 'Stunning Panaorama of Exotic Fruits'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 4th September 1999 and bottled as a 22 year old in 2013.  

A single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 355 bottles.

Karuizawa 1996 SMWS 132.4 17 Year Old

Otherwise known as 'Stunning Panaorama of Exotic Fruits'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 4th September 1999 and bottled as a 17 year old in 2013.  

A single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 346 bottles.

Arran Devil's Punch Bowl Chapter I

The first edition of Arran's Devil Punch Bowl which consists of 27 casks distilled between 1997 and 2004; 17 of which are sherry casks, 6 ‘unpeated’ bourbon casks and 4 peated bourbon casks.

Known as the Angels and Devils edition, only 6,600 bottles have been released.

Aberfeldy 15 Year Old Flora and Fauna

One of the most sought after Flora and Fauna bottlings, discontinued in the late 1990s when Bacardi became owners of the distillery.

Karuizawa 2000 SMWS 132.6 12 Year Old

Perhaps slightly more bizarre this whisky is otherwise known as 'Nite Nurse Nipped by Piranhas'.

Distilled on 31st December 2000 and bottled in 2013 this 12 year old Karuizawa was matured in a refill ex-sherry butt yielding 553 bottles.

Ardbeg 1998 Feis Ile 2011 Including Bag and Poster

Drawn from two Spanish Ex-Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butts this rare Ardbeg was released to mark the Islay Festival, Feis Ile in 2011.

This includes the poster and red bottle bag that was provided on Ardbeg Day at the Feis Ile.

Please note the bag is torn at one corner.

The first releases of Ardbeg 17 year old sparked the renewed interest in Ardbeg.

Ardbeg 1974 Spirit of Scotland 

A very rare  bottling of Ardbeg to commemorate the 500th Anniversary of Scotch Whisky.  Distilled in 1974 and bottled in 1994.

Bottled by the Speymalt Whisky Dist Ltd, Gordon and Macphail.

Ardbeg 1973 Gordon and Macphail 

Bottled by Gordon and Macphail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice collection, this Ardbeg was distilled in 1973 and bottled 30 years later in 2003.

Ardbeg 1976 Gordon and Macphail

Bottled by Gordon and Macphail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice collection, this Ardbeg was distilled in December 1976 and bottled 27 years later in August 2004, matured in refill American hogsheads.

Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter II           

Released in mid 2013, Arran’s second edition, release in the very popular punch bowl series consists of 27 casks distilled between 1997 and 2004; 17 of which are sherry casks, 6 ‘unpeated’ bourbon casks and 4 peated bourbon casks. Bottled by Gordon and Macphail as part of the Connoisseurs Choice collection, this Ardbeg was distilled in 1978 and bottled 27 years later in 2005. 

Ardbeg Alligator Committee Reserve For Discussion

Released for discussion by the Ardbeg Committee.

Released in June 2011, Ardbeg Alligator takes its name from the aggressive charring of the American casks the whisky was matured in.  This charring level is known as the Alligator char because the cracking of the wood under the heat looks similar to the skin of an Alligator.

Ardbeg Rollercoaster Committee Reserve

Released June 2010, Ardbeg Rollercoaster was strictly only available at the distillery or via Ardbeg.com.  However Ardbeg did not expect such demand, the website quickly broke and it did not take long for all 15,000 bottles to sell out.

Released to mark the 10^th anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee the Rollercoaster consists of ten vintages from 1997 to 2006
