Flora and Fauna Complete Collection - 26 Bottles

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which  was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

Ardbeg 1974 Provenance 23 Year Old (1st Release)

The first release of  the legendary  Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 23 years until being released in late 1997.

Matured in bourbon casks, roughly 4,000 of these were released to the EU and Asia.

These whiskies are highly acclaimed and desirable, the bottle and box are in perfect condition, including certificate and tartan insert.

Ardbeg 1974 Provenance 26 Year Old (US Import)  75cl

One of the legendary Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 26 years until being released in early 2000, imported into the US by Brown-Forman, this is a 75cl bottle.

Macallan 30 Year Old Masters of Photography Rankin Edition 

The Masters of Photography series of whiskies by Macallan currently contains four releases. This is the first release presented by John Rankin Waddle or simply Rankin.  Macallan commissioned Rankin to produce a limited edition series of photographs to be matched with Macallan 30 year old.  The photographs were taken over one summer and range from staff members, to scenery, equipment and in some cases, nude portraits of Rankins muse over barrels, wash backs and stills.

Only 1,000 bottles and photographs were chosen for this edition and the presentation box contains one of the original Rankin Polaroid photograph. Pair with 30 year old  Macallan Fine Oak.

Macallan 1996 Easter Elchies 2013

The Easter Elchies single cask bottlings from Macallan are released annually exclusive to Macallan distillery.  This was released over two days in November and December 2013 to incredibly high demand and a number of unhappy customers.

Distilled in 1996 and matured until 2013, this 17 year old single sherry butt #26 yielded 390 bottles.340 were sold at the distillery, the other 50 were presumably sold to staff.

Macallan 1970 18 Year Old

A very well presented Macallan 18 year old, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1988.

Please note that this lot has been provided by Queensferry Care and is being auctioned entirely to raise money for this charity. 

Queensferry Care was established in 1993 as a registered charity. The mission of the organisation is to provide quality support services to older people and carers within the communities of rural north-west Edinburgh. The Ardbeg Lord of the Isles, 25 year old is a highly sought after and inconic Ardbeg released between 2002 and 2007.

Macallan Coronation

The latest in the Macallan royal bottlings, this release from June 2013 consists of two 35cl bottles with a box designed by David Holmes. One bottle depicts the queen from 1953, matured solely in American oak sherry seasoned casks, while the other matured in Spanish sherry seasoned casks.   Only 1,953 boxes were produced to convey the date of the coronation in 1953.

Only available on Macallan’s website or at the distillery this quickly became one of the fastest selling releases of 2013.

A very rare Gordon and Macphail bottling of Macallan bottled in 1977 for the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

A remarkable bottle of Macallan that was distilled in the early 1950s, bottle at 26 2/3 fluid ounces and 70 proof.

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
