Palacio Gloriso 1984 Crianza Rioja

Founded in 1894, Bodegas Palacio is one of Rioja’s “historic bodegas” – their wine history reads much as the history of wines in the greater Rioja region, being on trend through much of their existence.  During the mid-1980s, the style of Rioja’s wines underwent a major transformation – out with the traditional earthiness in favour of a modern fruit-forward approach.

Adega Regional de Colares Vinho Tinto 1981

An extremely unusual wine from a little known Portuguese region called Colares. Most famous during the 1900s when, thanks to it's sandy costal topography, it was one of the few regions not decimated by the Phylloxera infestation that destroyed most of Europe's vines and thus became a mainstay of many tables. It has since - again thanks to its topography, which makes grape cultivation extremely labor intensive - become somewhat of a rarity. Known for it's incredible longevity this is a truly unique style of wine. This bottle is a 1980 vintage form one of the most prolific producers, a co-operative called Adega Regional de Colares.

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
