Croizet Grande Reserve VSOP Cognac

Croizet was founded in 1805 by Leon Croizet. The house owns 58 hectares of vineyard in the top Grande Champagne cru, and became famous when a bottle of its Cuvee Leonie (from the 1858 vintage) sold for more than £100,000 at auction in 2011.

Cardhu 12 Year Old Single Malt Miniature Box 12 x 5cl

A 12 year old single malt from the home of Johnnie Walker.

There was a time when the term \"pure malt\" was used regularly, Diageo got into hot water when they began to mix the Cardhu 12 year old single malt with other Speyside malts. There was issues with little change to the packaging and the Scotch Whisky Association felt that this may mislead customers. Read more here.

This bottle is from that pure malt phase and is an interesting piece of whisky history. 

Fill levels are good in all minatures.

Released in 2014 to mark the Scottish Independance Referendum, in support of the 45% of voters who said 'Yes'.

Caves Aliança Garrafeira Particular Harvest 1948, B.1968

A Portuguese red wine from the Bairrada region just south of Coimbra, dominated by the native Baga grape.  

Unusually for a table wine - rather than a fortified Port wine - this wine spent 20 years undergoing an extended period of oak ageing in large 2000 litre casks, hence Engarrafado 1968 (bottled 1968).

America's best selling Canadian Whisky in 75cl bottle, difficult to get hold of on this side of the pond. This is there more premium special reserve. 

The brand received some high praise recently when one of their range was awarded best Whisky in the world title by Jim Murray.

Caves Aliança Garrafeira Particular Harvest 1948, B.1968

Conac Terry / Fernando Ade Terry Centenary

Fernando de Terry y Brucet started his firm in 1835, then after difficulties re-established it in 1865.

This Spanish Brandy was bottled to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Fernando de Terry.

Chauffe Coeur VSOP Fine Champagne Cognac

Chauffe Coeur are more known for their Calvados than Cognac.  However, this VSOP Cognac is produced from grapes grown exclusively in the premium Grande-Champagne and Petite-Champagne sub-regions of Cognac.

The name means 'Point and a half' in the dialect of Turin, Italy.

An elegantly presented version of Chivas 18 year old, the Imperial carries a screen printed label.

Crème De Grand Marnier 1980s 1 Litre

Grand Marnier's cognac based Cordon Rouge orange liqueur, slow aged in French oak casks, first produced in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Manier Lapostolle.  

This orange liqueur has then been mixed with fresh Normandy cream and turned into a cream liqueur. 

Please do not drink this! collectable product only! Not for human Consumption!

While spirits have a huge shelf life, 30 year old cream liqueurs do not... this \"Fresh\" Normandy Cream will now be anything but Fresh.

Castell del Remey Rancio Dulce 

A highly intriguing wine!  Rancio Dulce (as stated on the neck label) indicates this to be a very old style of Spanish wine rarely - if ever - made anymore.  This Rancio style was made in a similar process to Madeira except left unfortified - the table wine was filled into oak casks and left in a warm place to develop a deliberate mustiness of intense complexity; Dulce indicates that the wine is a sweet expression of this Rancio wine.

What is even more interesting is that the lower portion of this label indicates that this particular wine was made - or at least, bottled/labelled - exclusively for the 1929 International Exposition in Barcelona.  Very likely then that this wine was specifically chosen to reflect one of the stylistic specialisms of Spanish wines of the time.  In a word: Remarkable.

\"Castell del Remey\" is the Catalan name for the winery Castell del Remei, owned by the Girona Family and located in the town of Lleida.
