Balblair 2000 Single Cask #1343

An exclusive first fill sherry Balblair bottled for The Whisky Exchange. 

Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2014. 

One of the Team reckons this is \"the best whisky i've tried in the last two years\". Can't argue with that!

Bowmore 25 Year Old 

A late 90s bottling of 25 year old single malt from Bowmore, Islay's oldest distillery. 

Bunnahabhain 1980 Signatory Vintage 31 Year Old

31 Year Old Bunnahabhain, distilled on 21st of January 1980 and bottled in January 2012 from Cask #604, which was a sherry butt.

Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #1

The latest 'tun' release from Balvenie following the footsteps of Balvenie Tun 1401 and 1858.

This larger Tun can hold upto four times as much liquid as Tun 1401 and hence we expect a larger quantity of this release.  This release is a combination of 42 casks, 35 traditional American oak barrels and 7 European oak sherry butts, these were married in tun 1509 for several months before bottling.

Bushmills 1985 Single Cask/ La Maison Du Whisky Exclusive

Irish whisky distilled in 1985 and matured in barrel #15183 exclusively for La Maison du Whisky.

This bottle number 389. 

Bruichladdich 1984 Enlightenment 18 Year Old Including Book

Two Bourbon casks of Bruichladdich from 1984, bottled in 2002 to celebrate the reprinting of the classic Whisky text \"Practical Distiller - Treatise of Practical Distillation\", a copy of which is included.

Bottle No. 36 of 500.

Balvenie 17 Year Old Sherry Oak

A limited edition 17 year old Balvenie released in 2007, matured in first fill Oloroso sherry casks.

Octomore Discovery Feis Ile 2014 

Perhaps the most desirable of the new Feis Ile releases, this is the first time Bruichladdich has released an Octomore for Feis Ile and it is incredibly limited with only 1,695 bottles being released.

Distilled on the 18th February 2007 and bottled for the 2014 Bruichladdich Open Day at Feis Ile, with a very impressive abv of 69.5%.

Bladnoch 1977 Rare Malt 23 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Bladnoch was distilled in 1977  and bottled 23 years later in October 2001.

Bottle number 3008.

Ben Nevis 1990 Single Cask 21 Year Old Single Port Butt

Distilled in November 1990 at Ben Nevis distillery and matured in a Port butt before being bottled in September 2012.

The full maturation was in a single Port Butt.

Bunnahabhain 1979 Duir 30 Year Old

Distilled in 22nd of September 1979 and matured in a single sherry cask for 30 years then bottled on the 7th of October 2009.

Bottle number 352 of 554. 

Bushmills 1991 Whisky Agency 24 Year Old

Distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2015 after maturation in a bourbon barrel. 

One of 218 bottles. 

Bowmore 12 Year Old Feis Ile 2015 - Hand Filled First Fill Sherry Butt

A single cask hand filled Bowmore from Feis Ile 2015, this proved very popular and sold out fast. 

Distilled on the 7th of October 2002 and matured exclusivly in first fill sherry butt #2214. Bottled on the 29th of May 2015.

Balblair 1969 Highland Selection 31 Year Old

A 31 year old single malt from Balblair distillery.

Bladnoch 1974 Signatory Vintage 28 Year Old

Bladnoch, distilled on 6th March 1974 and bottled in November 2002 from casks #1781 and #1782.

Bruichladdich 1992 Pedro Ximinez Sherry Edition

This is one of a number of Bruichladdich's released as experiments in which the same whisky is finished in different sherry casks for two years, in this case Pedro Ximinez from Fernando de Castilla.

Released in 2009 this 17 year old is bottle number 3697 of 6,000.

Bowmore Claret Bordeaux Wine Cask

A rare Bowmore matured exclusively in Bordeaux casks from wineries owned by Suntory.

Benrinnes 1978 Gordon and Macphail Reserve

Distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2004. This is an old Benrinnes which is fairly unusual to see. Drawn from single cask 1633.

Benriach 16 Year Old Cape of Storms

A very limited Benriach that was only available in South Africa, originally launched at the Whisky Live Show 2007.  The Cape of Storms limited releases followed the days when whisky was transported as ballast, in ships that travelled to the Cape from the UK and back. This unique shipping experience greatly affected the flavour, the sea, the constant motion and movement of the liquid.

Two bottlings were released, a younger 12 year old and this 16 year old.  The actual spirit used in the bottling of this 16 year old is widely regarded to be nearer 19 years old, however the later part of the maturation period was in South Africa and can not be placed legally onto the label.

Only 195 bottles of the 16 year old were released, this is bottle 121.

Bowmore Devil's Cask 10 Year Old Batch #2

This, Devil's Cask is the second bottling in the incredibly popular Devil's Cask Small Batch Releases.  This small batch release was matured exclusively in first fill Sherry casks and bottled at cask strength.

\"Where The Devil is He?\" - The story goes the devil was spotted in the circular church at Bowmore, the villagers chased the devil into Bowmore Distillery where, as legend goes, the devil escaped in a cask.

Bruichladdich Black Art 1989 22 Year Old (3rd Edition)

The third Black Art release, distilled in 1989 and bottled as a 22 year old.

Matured in wide variety of American and European oak wines casks, now an annual release within Bruichladdich's core range.

A very well aged Bladnoch, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, nick named 'Fresh fruit salad in Champagne'.

Distilled on 26th January 1990 and bottled after 24 years.  

One of only 133 bottles, matured exclusively in a refill ex bourbon barrels.

Bowmore Legend Of Saint Ives / First Edition

An older style label from this classic Islay malt. This is the first release of the Bowmore legends which would influence much of the distillerie's later output. 

This tin is for the Legend of St.Ives. The story goes that back in 1813, a young French soldier named St.Ives was captured by the British during the Napoleonic wars. Because of his ability to speak English he dodged execution and ended up imprisoned in Edinburgh castle. He managed to make a hot air ballon and escape, he floated to Islay.  Crashing in Lochindaal, he was rescued by the battleship The true blooded yankee.

This limited edition release of Bowmore legend carries an artists illustration of the legend depicted on the rear of the bottle.

Bowmore 1989 16 Year Old Limited Edition

This popular limited edition Bowmore was made up of 134 casks, distilled in 1989 and bottled 16 years later at cask strength, the majority of the casks were ex-bourbon casks.

Balmenach 12 Year Old Flora and Fauna

One of the most desirable of the Flora and Fauna series, the tasty Balmenach was released as a 12 year old.

Distillerys Company Ltd (DCL/Diageo) created the Flora and Fauna series in the early 1990s, when DCL sold the distillery to Inverhouse distillers this bottle was discontinued.
