Bidding advice
You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £55.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).

Our system increases bids based on preset increments, as shown in the table below, whether you set a maximum bid or make a single bid.
Bottle Details
This Ballindalloch was distilled on 10th September 2015 and matured in single oloroso sherry butt #474. It was bottled at cask strength in June 2023, and is one of a pair which made up the very first releases from the distillery. The second bottling was drawn from ex-Bourbon cask #47.
Ballindalloch 2015 Single Sherry Cask #474 50cl / Inaugural Release
Located on the estate of Ballindalloch Castle (built.1546) and the ancestry home of the Macpherson-Grant family, the Ballindalloch Distillery released its very first single malt in mid-2023. The family have a rich history of distilling. This began when Sir George Macpherson-Grant leased part of the castles estate to John Smith who would go on to build Cragganmore in 1869. The family would be involved with Cragganmore until eventually selling their steak to DCL in 1965. Fast forward to 2011, 23rd generation Guy Macpherson-Grant would set-up a new facility on the castle grounds. The self-proclaimed “Scotland’s first single estate distillery” would start production in 2014 and be opened by future King and Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
