Ballindalloch 2015 Single Sherry Cask #474 50cl / Inaugural Release

Located on the estate of Ballindalloch Castle (built.1546) and the ancestry home of the Macpherson-Grant family, the Ballindalloch Distillery released its very first single malt in mid-2023. The family have a rich history of distilling. This began when Sir George Macpherson-Grant leased part of the castles estate to John Smith who would go on to build Cragganmore in 1869. The family would be involved with Cragganmore until eventually selling their steak to DCL in 1965. Fast forward to 2011, 23rd generation Guy Macpherson-Grant would set-up a new facility on the castle grounds. The self-proclaimed “Scotland’s first single estate distillery” would start production in 2014 and be opened by future King and Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
