Breckenridge distillery is located in the Rocky Mountain region of the US state of Colorado, and was established in 2008 by doctor-turned-distiller, Bryan Nolt. It makes a range of spirits that include whiskey, vodka, gin and rum, and prides itself on its use of local snowmelt as the water source in its production.
The distillery is equipped with a 700-gallon Vendome pot still and supplements its in-house whiskey production with casks from other distilleries.
The Breckenridge brand was introduced in 2010 with the release of the distillery's first vodka, with its debut whiskey launched the following year. The name is also used for the distillery's various other spirit types, which include gin, rum and aquavit.
Breckenridge whiskies are currently produced by blending the distillery's in-house production with casks sourced from MGP distillery in Indiana, distilled to the company's own specifications. Its flagship product is a 2-3 year old blend, supplemented by batch releases of various cask-finished expressions.
