Boone County
Boone County is an American whiskey distillery located in the Kentucky county of the same name. Established in 2015 by Jack Wells and Joshua Quinn, it was a revival of the area's distilling tradition that dates back to the opening of the Petersburg distillery in 1833.
The distillery produces straight bourbon whiskey using a mash bill of 74% corn, 21% rye and 5% barley, which is distilled in its 500-litre copper pot still.
The Boone County brand was launched in 2015 to coincide with the opening of the distillery. As its own whiskey was still maturing, early versions of the brand were bottled using whiskey distilled using company's recipe by MGP in Indiana and labelled as Eighteen 33. The distillery finally bottled its own whiskey in 2021, launching its Pot Still Bourbon.
The Boone County product range also includes sourced rye and wheat whiskies, as well as its Ruckers & Gaines gin and Tanner's Curse white whiskey.
