Archie Rose is a spirits distillery based in Sydney, Australia. It produces a variety of whiskies, gin and vodka, even offering customers the option to tailor recipes to their own specifications and have them produced by its distillery team.
As of 2020, distilling operations were moved from the original distillery site in Rosebery (now its visitor centre and events space) to a new, larger facility in Banksmeadow. It boats two identical, first-of-their-kind, copper pot and column hybrid vacuum stills that support more than 12 different configurations. It also has an in-house Research & Development which conducts experiments in fermentation, distillation and sensory analysis for rum production and also supports advances in its other spirits production, including whisky.
The Archie Rose Distilling Co brand was launched in March 2015 when the distillery and its bar first opened to the public. Its proprietary products at launch were are range of gin, vodka and a white rye spirit.
At the same time, the distillery began laying down casks of both single malt and rye whisky which were first bottled in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Among its most notable products is its award-winning Rye Malt, which blends casks of both together.
