American Distilling Company
The American Distilling Company was a large producer of bourbon, rye and other spirits, and is located in Pekin, Illinois. The distillery was closed in 2009 by then owners, MGP Ingredients. Despite re-opening the following year, the plant no longer produces whiskey after it was acquired by the Illinois Corn Processing company to distil industrial ethanol.
In its time the distillery produced a number of notable American whiskey brands, including Bourbon Supreme, American Pride, Old American and Guckenheimer.
