The Littlemill Distillery Company
The Littlemill Distillery Company is a non-trading subsidiary of the Loch Lomond Group, incorporated in its current form in 2014. The original company was established in 1935 by the American businessman, Duncan G. Thomas, who had been licensee of the Littlemill distillery in Bowling since 1931. He sold a minority stake in the venture to Barton Brands of Chicago, Illinois in 1959, who funded the construction of Loch Lomond distillery before acquiring Thomas' shares in 1971.
In addition to marketing the Littlemill single malt brand, the company also produced blended Scotch brands such as Highland Mist and Crown of Scotland.
