La Martinquaise is a French multinational drinks company founded in 1934 by Jean Cayard as a rum importer and distributor. Today its influence on the global spirits industry is far reaching, and in addition to its rum holdings it is also the owner of two Scotch whisky distilleries and has a portfolio of French spirits brands, vodka, gin, wine and port.
Its most prominent Scotch whisky holding is the Glen Moray distillery in Speyside, and it also produces the historic Cutty Sark brand through its Glen Turner Company subsidiary.
