James Watson & Co was a Scottish whisky company founded in Dundee in 1815. It went on to establish the Parkmore distillery and later acquire Glen Ord and Pulteney before it was acquired in 1923 by Buchanan-Dewar, becoming part of the Distillers Company two years later.
Under the Distillers Company, James Watson & Co was reincorporated as a subsidiary in 1927 however it struggled for sales following the second world war. Despite this, its Baxter's Barley Bree and Watson's No.1 brands were available into the 1980s before the eventual dissolution of the company by United Distillers in 1991.
