Founded in 2013, Independent Spirit is the whisky arm of Weinhaus Ernst in Germany, and seeks out regular exclusive single cask releases from single malt distillers in Scotland. In its inaugural year, the project acquired two bottlings from Benriach, who have been a consistent collaborator since.
Other distilleries that have worked with Independent Spirit include Glendronach, Arran, Tomatin, and the independent bottler, Signatory Vintage.
