Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft

Hanseatische Weinhandelsgesellschaft (often condensed to HAWE) is a wine and spirits importer, distributor and retailer based in Bremen, Germany. The company was founded as a wine shop in 1974 before diversifying into whisky sales in the 1980s.

HAWE is the long-serving German agent for J&A Mitchell brands such as Springbank and Kilkerran, and also represents Kilchoman and Glenfarclas which it promotes in Germany as its Independent Malts Collection. Over the years it has offered a number of its own special and exclusive bottlings from these and other distillers.
