Donini
Donini was an import company based in Milan, Italy, and was connected to what still exists as the Bottiglieria Luigi Donini wine shop in the Galleria San Babila. It was established in 1931 after Luigi sold the historic Caffe Donini (opened in 1885 as the Bottiglieria del Leone) to the Marangione family. It too still exists in the same spot, today called Ginrosa after its signature aperitif, which was originally known as Mistura Donini.
The shop imported whisky to Italy in the 1960s through 1980s, most notably as one of the agents for Gordon & MacPhail from whom they distributed Macallan, Glenfarclas and the Connoisseurs Choice brand.
