Belmont Farms of Virginia was established in 1988 by Chuck and Jeanette Miller. The farm is grows corn, wheat and barley as well as hay for its cattle and horses. The idea to build a distillery on the farm was hatched by the Millers the year prior, and Chuck renovated an old workshop to house a pot still built in 1933.
The company produces spirits branded as Kopper Kettle alongside its original Viriginia Lightning moonshine label. They are mostly sold within Virginia however Koper Kettle also has some global distribution.
