White Horse
White Horse is a blended Scotch brand that currently forms part of the extensive Diageo portfolio. The company predominantly markets the blend in South America and Japan where it is incredibly popular. It traces its origins back to 1861 however, when it was introduced by James Logan Mackie as White Horse Cellar, and named after the historic Edinburgh Inn that the Mackie family had owned since 1650. Another former Mackie property, Lagavulin distillery, is synonymous with the blend and a key component of its recipe.
The brand has always been available as a standard non-age statement expression, although various limited editions have been produced over the years too.
