Sazerac Rye
Sazerac Rye is a brand of straight rye whiskey produced at Buffalo Trace distillery. It was introduced in 2000 as part of the Sazerac Company's inaugural Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC) and was bottled from a batch of legendary rye whiskey distilled by Schenley Industries in the 1980s. Always aged 18 years, the label remains one of the flagship names within the sought-after annual BTAC release.
A proprietary Sazerac Rye release also debuted in 2006 and is widely distributed as well as being available within the Sazerac Company's Single Barrel Select programme. In the same year, a second Sazerac Rye was added to the BTAC line-up, known as Thomas H. Handy Sazerac. It too remains part of the series today.
