Peerless
Peerless is a historic pre-Prohibition American whiskey brand, introduced by Henry H. Kraver at his distillery in Henderson, Kentucky. It found great success in the early 20th century and despite being one of the labels permitted to be prescribed as medicinal whiskey during the 1920s, it never reappeared after repeal of the Volstead Act as the original distillery had been dismantled.
The brand was then revived by the Kentucky Peerless Distilling Company, founded in 2013 by descendants of Henry Kraver called Corky and Carson Taylor. It is distilled at their distillery in Louisville, Kentucky and its first rye whiskey debuted in 2017, followed by its straight bourbon in 2019. Its core range contains small batch releases of each, supported by regular single barrel and various cask-finished whiskies.
