Ord

Ord is one of the several different single malt brands that have been marketed by the various owners and licensees of the Glen Ord distillery over the years. It was introduced in the 1970s while the license for the distillery was granted to Peter Dawson, a blended within the Distillers Company Limited (DCL) group. The company sold Ord as a 12-year-old and and also produced a 5-year-old expression for their Italian agent, R. Manzuoli.

When DCL transferred the license for Glen Ord to John Dewar & Sons in 1982, they opted to market its single malt as Glenordie instead.
