Hanyu 2000 Ichiro's Malt Card Series - Two of Clubs
Hanyu
A Japanese malt distillery located in the town of the same name. It developed immense collectable status following its closure 2000 after the famous "Card" series was bottled by Ichiro's Malt. Believed to be lost forever, its former owners rebuilt it and distilling commenced again in 2021.
Ichiro's Malt
A brand of Japanese whisky bottlings from Ichiro Akuto's Venture Whisky. Its first releases were the now legendary Card series bottlings of Hanyu, introduced in 2005. Today it counts Chichibu single malt as a sub-brand, as well as various blended Japanese whiskies.
Venture Whisky
A company set up in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto in order to obtain the stocks from his grandfather's former distillery, Hanyu. In 2008 it opened its own distillery called Chichibu, and markets its single malt as well as blends under the Ichiro's Malt banner.
