This is an incredibly rare example o Bowmore bottled under the Largiemeanoch label, a brand devised for a series of private bottlings for The Howgate Wine Co in Edinburgh in the late 1970s. The Whisky Connoisseur later revived the name for a series on collectible miniature bottlings of Bowmore, but they are far from the quality of this.

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership is has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky.
