A 1973 vintage, this was bottled as part of Gordon & MacPhail's sought after Centenary Reserve collection in 1995 to celebrate 100 years of the Elgin-based company.
Balblair
A malt distillery in the Highland region of Scotland owned by the ThaiBev drinks group in south-east Asia through its Inver House Distillers division. Although historically associated with the Ballantine's blend, it has established itself in the 21st century as a key single malt brand.
Gordon & MacPhail
Perhaps one of Scotland's most important whisky companies, Gordon & MacPhail is a historic blender, independent bottler and distiller. It was founded in Elgin in 1895 and among its brands include Benromach single malt, and independent labels such as Connoisseurs Choice and its Distillery Labels.
