Burn, Stewart & Co was founded in London in 1946 as a whisky broker and blending business. It was acquired by a consortium of whisky industry figures in 1988 who set up a new company called Burn Stewart Distillers. Today Burn, Stewart & Co is a non-trading subsidiary of the Distell Group.
