Alberta Rye Dark Batch Canadian Whisky
Produced by Alberta Distillers, this is the same product as the Alberta Premium Dark Horse and was launched in the US market in 2015 under separate branding to avoid confusion with the Dark Horse Brewing company in Michigan.
It was an unusual Canadian whisky produced by blending two different 100% rye whiskies (45.5% of the mixture each) with a small proportion of American bourbon (around 8%) and a dash of oloroso sherry (making up the final 1%).

The largest rye whisky-producing distillery in North America and part of the Canadian holdings of Beam Suntory. It is primarily a contract-distilling operation, however has achieve its own acclaim through brands such as Alberta Premium.
