Brillet Héritage Brut De Fût Grande Champagne Cognac

Despite the official founding of the trading house in 1850, the Brillet family link their history in cognac back to as early as 1656. This year marked settling of the Maison Brillet in the Grande Champagne region, and the birth of Guy Brillet, who went on to install his the alembic at the family property. This was the introduction of the double distillation process that creates cognac to this day.

This Grand Cru Brut de Fût cognac is aged half a century in oak casks, then manually transferred directly to individually-blown bottles at its natural alcohol strength. As with all of Brillet's cognacs, it is hand-crafted in the family distillery in Les Aireaux, a small hamlet near Jarnac in Cognac.
