Bidding advice
You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £55.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).

Our system increases bids based on preset increments, as shown in the table below, whether you set a maximum bid or make a single bid.

Auchroisk 1975 Jack Wiebers 34 Year Old / Old Train Line
This was bottled by Lars-Goran Wiebers, aka \"Jack.\" He is the proprietor of the renowned Jack Wiebers Whisky World retailer in Germany, established in 1996. Since then has released a number of respected independent bottlings under labels such as the Old Train Line, Gentle Noses, The Cross Hill and Auld Distillers Alliance.
A cask strength release, this Auchroisk was bottled as part of the Old Train Line series in 2009.
Auchroisk distillery was built by Justerini & Brooks in 1972 to provide malt for their blends. Despite this, there was an immediate focus on its single malt as well, and it was first bottled in 1986. These were vintage-dated releases, and some of the earliest to use cask finishing. This was never advertised though, and the distillery left Balvenie to take the credit for the innovation. Its single malt has also appeared many times from independent labels like this.
This bottle is being sold from the Pat's Whisk(e)y private collection which, numbering in excess of 9,000 bottles and over 2,000 miniatures, is the single largest collection of whisky ever to be brought to auction. Pat's Whisk(e)y is the result of over fifteen years of passion and dedication to the goal of creating one of the most complete libraries of whisky and whiskey ever amassed by an individual collector. It contains bottles from over 150 different Scottish distilleries, as well as bourbon, rare Scotch releases from sought-after independent bottlers in Europe, and whisky from other distilleries across the globe. Auchroisk
A malt distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland and one of many in the extensive portfolio of multinational drinks giant, Diageo. The distillery was built in 1972 by International Distillers & Vintners to assist with the provision of its Justerini & Brooks blended Scotch brands.
Old Train Line
One of the best-known brands in the portfolio of German independent bottler, Jack Wiebers Whisky World. The range was introduced in 2002 and has featured a number of notable single cask single malt and grain Scotch whiskies.

A whisky wholesaler and independent bottler founded in Germany by Lars-Goran Wiebers, aka "Jack." It has been releasing its own branded whisky bottlings since 1998 using labels such as Old Train Line, The Cross Hill and Gentle Noses.
