Bottle Details

Michel Couvreur Bere Barley Aged Over 10 Years

Michael Couvreur was an innovator in the world of whisky.

Bere Barley is an acient Barley, rarely seen these days - with the exception of Bruichladdich's and Arran's recent releases using this same varietal.   This bottle was distilled on the 19th November 1986 and single cask #270 yielded 522 litres after being matured for 'over 10 years'.

Many of Michael Couvreur's releases were bottled in France and this carries a stamp mentioning the date 30th May 1994, suggesting this whisky to be 13 years old.
