Old Fitzgerald 101 Proof 10 Year Old Circa 1980s / Loose Stopper

A fantastic presentation of Old Fitzgerald from the 1980s. At 101 Proof this is a very rare expression, sure to be absolutely cracking.

Bottom of bottle has 85 embedded on it which sugggests that this bottling is from around 1985, 7 years before the famous Stitzel-Weller distillery closed it's doors.

Please note condition of lot as shown. The decanter stopper is loose.

Old Pulteney 1989 Lightly Peated

A recent award winning whisky, the Old Pulteney 1989 has recently acclaimed the title of World's Best Single Malt from the World Whisky Awards, which are awarded by the Whisky Magazine.

This lightly peated 1989 vintage has now virtually all but sold out at retail and has quickly gained status at auctions.

Very Old St. Nick Ancient Cask Bourbon

Originally the Very Olde St Nick Bourbon Whiskey was a brand designed for export, predominantly to Japan.

This bourbon is rumoured to be from one of the Bardstown distilleries in Kentucky. 

Old Pulteney 1974 Highland Selection 26 Year Old

A absolutley cracking 26 year old Old Pulteney, distilled in 1974

Bottle number 1269 of 1600. 

Old Pulteney 1982 15 Year Old / Millennium Single Cask

Old Pulteney distilled on November 19th 1982 and matured in single cask #1305, bottled at cask strength this is bottle number 234. 

Very lightly influenced by Sherry.

Orphan Barrel Barterhouse 20 Year Old Bourbon 

Part of the Diageo's Orphan Barrel series which is produced from casks of Bourbon that have been forgotten about in the many Rickhouses and Distilleries that cover the United States.

This bottle consists of liquid produced at the Bernheim distillery in Kentucky.

Otard Three Star Special Cognac 1940s

Otard was established in 1795 by the Baron Otard. Confirmed to be from the 1940s for the matalic seal that was used in Italy between 1940 and 1949.

80:20 Glenmorangie

Yet another delightful whisky accident which happened back in 1999 when mistakenly 80% Glenmorangie 21 Year old casks were mixed with 20% of something else.  It is worrying that this has happend a number of times at Glenmorangie.

Perhaps it's obvious to see where the name comes from, what serendipity.

Viña Tondonia Gran Reserva 1973

Bodegas López de Heredia is located by Haro, in the heart of the Rioja Alta region.  One of the first 3 commercial wine houses to be built, the history and success of the region and the estate are closely linked.

Viña Tondonia is one of the cellars of the renowned Rioja estate, Bodegas López de Heredia.  A blend of Tempranillo (75%), Garnacho (15%), Graciano and Mazuelo together contributing only 10%, aged in oak barrels for 10 years.  Confusingly, the main label is that of Viña Tondonia's Gran Reserva releases, while the cap-label asserts the wine to be only \"Rioja de Crianza.\"

This wine features a very high dependence on Tempranillo (90%) and Garnacha, Graciano & Mazuelo in varying quantities providing balance.  The wine is matured for up to 2 years in a mix of American and French oak.

Vina Albina 1942 Reserva Rioja

A Rioja Reserva from Bodegas Riojanas.  This wine is a blend of equal parts Tempranillo, Graciano and Mazuelo, aged for at least 12 months in oak barrels.  Being from the 1942 vintage, not only has this wine has had a massive amount of bottle ageing, but it is also one of those absolute rarities - a wartime wine!

Ohishi Whisky / Selected by Flask Fine Wine and Whisky

The Ohishi distillery is located on the banks of the Kuma River, one Japan's fastest flowing rivers. The distillery was founded in 1872 and produces some of the most exciting whisky coming out of Japan.

Ohishi grows at least 30% of the rice that they distill, and the fertile soils, using an exceptional growing climate making for some of the finest base ingredients available.

The grains are partially malted and then distilled on the traditional Japanese stills before being filled into ex-sherry and brandy casks and aged for a long time time in high-altitude warehouses.

Robert parker rated the 1984 vintage an 86/100 for wines of the Ribera del Duero.
