Imperial Tinto 1966

Imperial is one of the fine cellars owned by Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espania (CVNE), with it's stand-alone facilities located in CVNE's original winery.  As a range, Imperial Rioja was first bottled in the 1920s and took its name from the unique bottle size in which the wine was sold - Imperial Pints for the UK market.

Grapes are sourced from selected vineyards which keep their average vine age in excess of 20 years and exclusively from the Rioja Alta subregion thus giving the wine a full character influenced by the cool breezes of the Atlantic Ocean.

This 1966 vintage is likely to be a typical Rioja blend dominated by Tempranillo (about 85%) with some Garnacha (10-15%) and possibly a small volume of Mazuelo (to 5%).

Inver House Green Plaid 1980s

An old blend from Inver House. Back in 1956, USA based Publicker Industries of Philadelphia created a blend called Inver House Rare. Then in 1964 they established Inver House Distillers Ltd and they purchased a whisky distilling complex at Airdrie. Inver House is still going strong today but with more of a focus on single malts. 

We estimate this to have been produced during the 1980s.

Inchmurrin / Loch Lomond 1996 Signatory Vintage 15 Year Old

Distilled on 18th November 1996 and bottled on the 5th November 2012 by Signatory Vintage.

Two refill butts were combined for this bottling, #24 and #25.

Hennessy VS Cognac Kaws 'XX' Limited Edition

A limited edition Hennessy Cognac produced to mark the importance of the assembly of the cognac, the eye catching label was created with the idea of 'combing the art of blending with the idea of blending art', we fully understand!  

The artist known as 'KAWS' teamed up with Hennessy to create this limited edition, the label includes KAWS trademark 'XX' and is limited to 420,000 numbered bottles.

The VS bottling contains the same cognac as the classic Hennessy VS, a blend of 40 different eaux-de-vie.

Haig's Dimple 1980s

An interesting bottle of Haig's, the volume of the bottle is 70cl indicating that this was from the 1990s, however this style of labels was used in the 70s and 80s.

Highland Fusilier 8 Year Old Blended Malt

An 8 year old blended malt from Gordon and Macphail for the Scottish infantry regiment \"The Royal Highland Fusiliers\". 

H&H Malmsey Madeira

Henriques and Henriques are one of the longest established and most respected producers of Madeira wine.  Of the 4 \"Noble Grapes\" of Madeira, Malvasia - or Malmsey by it's common English name - is the sweetest.  The wine is made on the Portuguese island of Madeira using only Malvasia grapes, fortified with grape-spirit, and left in oak casks to mature.

Unlike most wines and spirits which benefit from oak ageing, the oak barrels holding maturing Madeira wines are positioned in warm spaces and with the greatest possible exposure to the sun.  It is this heat which caramelises the natural sugars in the wood which are imparted into the wine creating Madeira's unique character.

Imperial Tinto 1958

Imperial is one of the fine cellars owned by Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espania (CVNE), with it's stand-alone facilities located in CVNE's original winery.  As a range, Imperial Rioja was first bottled in the 1920s and took its name from the unique bottle size in which the wine was sold - Imperial Pints for the UK market.

Grapes are sourced from selected vineyards which keep their average vine age in excess of 20 years and exclusively from the Rioja Alta subregion thus giving the wine a full character influenced by the cool breezes of the Atlantic Ocean.

This 1958 vintage is likely to be a typical Rioja blend dominated by Tempranillo (about 85%) with some Garnacha (10-15%) and possibly a small volume of Mazuelo (to 5%).
