Yamazaki 25 Year Old

A limited edition of around 100 bottles celebrating Japanese hospitality. This whisky has been matured for 25 years in the finest Oloroso sherry casks.

The seal on the bottle is a Mizuhiki, a five corded knot symbolising the joining of hands.

Yamazaki 1986 Owner's Cask Mizunara Butt #6G5029

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days.

This single cask was distilled in 1986 and matured in a Mizunara butt #6G5029 until bottling in 2006. This was bottled for the 50th Anniversary of La Maison Du Whisky.

This bottling is the follow up to the famous 2013 release which won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

5000 bottles were produced which is less than third of the quantity of the previous release of Yamazaki Sherry Cask, of which there were approximately 16,000 bottles.

This single cask was distilled in 1999 and matured in a Puncheon #DR70083 until bottling in 2015.

Taketsuru 25 Year Old

A very rare bottling of Taketsuru, originally introduced in 2012 this blended malt contains casks from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.

It is extremely limited and only 120 bottles were available throughout Europe, this bottle was released in Asia. 

Chartreuse de Tarragona Yellow Label 1951-1959

Originally created in 1605 by monks using a recipe for an elixir of long life. 

Produced between 1904-1989 in Tarragona (Spain) after the Carthusian Monks were exiled from France. In 1989 the distillery in Tarragona closed down and the production of this liquor returned to France. Nowadays the bottles produce in the distillery of Tarragona have become one of the most expensive and sought after liquors in the world. The recipe contains more than 130 different plants and flowers, the Mediterranean character of the Tarragona distillery is bottled in this unique and limited liquor.

We estimate this bottle to be from the 1950s.

Caol Ila 20 Year Old 150th Anniversary

A stunning bottle of Caol Ila bottled in 1996 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Caol Ila from 1846 to 1996.

A very rare bottling only ever originally released to employees within Diageo.

A single cask Yamazaki distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2012 for the Tokyo Bar Show.

Tony Koerhl Series Creative Whisky Company 4 x 70cl

This collection is called  \"Sketch the soul\" Series by Tony Koehl. They were bottled by the Creative Whisky Company.

The range contains four bottles

• A 20 year old Caperdonich distilled on the 2nd of October 1992 and matured in cask 121137. One of 300 bottles.
• A 17 Year Old Imperial distilled on 22nd May 1995. One on 279 bottles,
• A 23 year old little mill Littlemill distilled in December 1990 and then matured in single cask number 36. One of 176 bottles.
• A 22 year old Glen Keith distilled in 1991 then bottled in 2013. Drawn from single cask number 73663,  which yielded 188 bottles.

Caperdonich 1972 The Whisky Man 40 Year Old

Distilled in 1972 and bottled in 2012 for the Whisky Man & QV.ID, this is from closed Dufftown distillery Caperdonich. 

One of 65 bottles.

Yamazaki has been thrust into the spot light after their Sherry Cask release of 2013 received the title of Best Whisky in the World title from Jim Murray.  

They release several other limited annual releases including the Bourbon Barrel.  This is a 2011 bottling from Yamazaki and offers an excellent contrast to the now highly sought after Sherry Cask.

This was the 2011 UK release which was at a slightly higher strength of 48.2% and limited to only 1000 bottles.

Clynelish 1972 Rare Malt 24 Year Old 

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Released within the Rare Malt Selection.  Distilled in 1972 and bottled as a 24 year old at 61.3%

Bottled in 1997.

Bottle number 3777.  

Yoichi 20 Year Old

The now discontinued 20 year old from Yoichi distillery.

Chichibu 2009 Chibidaru Single Cask #287 / Whisky Live Tokyo 2012

This is from the new Japanese distillery Chichibu. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2013, this has been matured in Chibidaru casks. Chibidaru are similar to quarter casks, the difference being that while Scottish quarter casks just have staves removed, Chibidaru have shortened staves and are repurposed. 

Released exclusively at Whisky Live Tokyo, 2012, this single cask Chichibu yielded on 164 bottles, this is bottle number 6.

Camus Cognac Cuvee 3.128 Baccarat Decanter

Camus is a well established Cognac brand that carries history back to 1863 when Jean-Baptiste Camus founded a group of Cognac producers under the banner 'La Grande Marque'.

The first batch of a series of limited editions produced by Camus, limited to 3068 bottles. It contains a blend of three unique eaux de vie from leading vineyards belonging to one family, one at 41 years old, the other at 43, and the last at 44. The sum of these ages adds to 128, hence the releases name.

This exceptional cognac has been enhanced by a handmade Baccarat crystal decanter designed by the French designer Serge Manceon.

Please note condition of lot as shown. Decanter stopper has snapped with half of cork. Bottle still sealed with remaining cork.

The Drunken Master Blended Malt Whisky Agency / Art Taiwan - Beijing Opera Facial Masks 2 x 70cl​

A joint bottling between the Art Taiwan and the Mash Tun Tokyo by The Whisky Agency.

This lot comprises of two full 70cl whiskies bottled by the Drunken Master. 

A 35 year old blended malt distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2015, alongside a 1992 Burnside bottled in 2015.

\"Burnside\" is Balvenie that has been \"teaspooned\" with Glenfiddich. This practice allowed brand protective Single malt producers to sell casks for blending purposes but ensure that they were not released as independent bottlings. 

Clynelish 1984 The Bottlers 16 Year Old

Distilled in November 1984 and then matured un til August 2001, in single cask number 4016.

Chichibu 2010 Whisky Talk 2015 / Vanishing Animal Owl

Another new and very rare Chichibu distilled in 2010 for Whisky Talk 2015. 

Matured in 1st fill bourbon and a 3rd fill Puncheon. 

Only 262 bottles.

Caroni 2000 15 Year Old Full Proof Trinidad Rum

Distilled in 2000 at the now lost Caroni distillery, aged in Trinidad for 15 years and bottled in 2015.

The Drunken Master Blended Malt Whisky Agency / Art Taiwan - Beijing Opera Facial Masks 2 x 70cl​

A joint bottling between the Art Taiwan and the Mash Tun Tokyo by The Whisky Agency.

This lot comprises of two full 70cl whiskies bottled by the Drunken Master.

Caperdonich 1972 Signatory Vintage 16 Year Old

There are so few bottlings of Caperdonich like this one, as it is now a closed distillery these are well wroth paying attention to!

Distilled 24th of October 1972 and bottled November 1988, this is bottle number 290 of 1950.
