Ardbeg Kildalton 2014

The latest release from Ardbeg in connection with the North Highland Initiative (NHI) a charity which helps rural communities across the Northern Highlands.This new and elegantly packaged Ardbeg is a combination of first fill and refill ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.  Please do not mistake this Kildalton for that which was released in 2004.

Ardbeg Dark Cove Committee Release

The new committee release for 2016, this has been matured in ex-bourbon casks with a heart matured in dark sherry casks. The style has been inspired by the history of illicit distilling on the Island of Islay, many people were involved including Allan and Alexander the uncles of John McDougall founder of Ardbeg distillery. This is the limited committee release, a more available lower ABV edition will be launched for Ardbeg Day/Night.

Knockdhu 23 Year Old Cask Strength

Back when Diageo owned Knockdhu they released this limited 23 year old. Since Inverhouse took the reigns this distillery's output has been know as An Cnoc. 

Bottled at cask strength. 

Knockando 25 Year Old

Released in 2011 and limited to 4,758 bottles .

Bottle number 1934.

Signed by Duncan Tait, Distillery manager when this bottle was released. 

Ardmore 100th Anniversary 21 Year Old

A 21 year old Ardmore released to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Ardmore distillery, from 1899 to 1999.

Distilled in 1977.

Released in a presentation box along with a table plan of those invited to the Celebratory Lunch.

Knockando 1977 Extra Old Reserve

A rare expression of Knockando at 15 years old, distilled in 1977 and bottled in 1992.

Antiquary Circa 1950s

An old bottle of Antiquary that predates their famous angular bottle, we believe this originates from around the 1950s.

Knockdhu 1978 Cask Strength 21 Year Old

22 Year Old, distilled on 27th Oct 1992 and matured in a ex-Sherry Butt.

Arran Smugglers' Series Volume 1 / The Illict Stills

A very cool nod to the shady history of Arran's distilling. Back during the 18th and 19th century the island was a producer of illicit whisky. Presented in a book style package to hide the goods. 

The whisky itself is a combination of the following: 

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 600L Port Pipes. 

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 250L Sherry Hogsheads. 

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels. 

Arran Single Malt - 50ppm Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels. 

Arran Single Malt - 14ppm Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels. 

One of 8,700 bottles. 

Arran Devil’s Punch Bowl Chapter II           

Released in mid 2013, Arran’s second edition, release in the very popular punch bowl series consists of 27 casks distilled between 1997 and 2004; 17 of which are sherry casks, 6 ‘unpeated’ bourbon casks and 4 peated bourbon casks. Known as the Angels and Devils edition, only 6,600 bottles have been released.

Amrut Naarangi

From Amrut's Website 

\"Amrut Naarangi the latest offering from Amrut, the 'Naarangi' derives its name from the Hindi word, Naarangi which means \"orange.\" It is the only single malt whisky ever produced in the world to have expressions of orange, which brings forth a new level of experimentation to the malt world.\"

Essentially Amrut matured with Orange peel.

A young first filled bourbon casked Ardbeg, \"Beauty and the Beast\", distilled on the 14th of May 2007 then matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt. One of 624 bottles.

Proceeding from Very Young and Still Young, Ardbeg Almost There was the final stage in the journey of young cask-strength Ardbeg 1998 before the Renaissance 10 year old was finally released.

The forth release of Supernova... SN2015. 

With Ardbeg having blasted whisky into space and it having returned successfully, we are being treated to a new Supernova. We'll need to wait and see as to what Dr Lumsden has to say about zero gravity maturation... probably that it isn't cost efficient. Peated to over 100 PPM, this is a big bang of a whisky. Truly out of this world. A star of a dram. Is that enough space puns yet?

Vinho Barrique Kavalan is matured using casks which previously stored either red or white wine.

This Tiawanese distillery has been making a big splash. A cask in this range won the World Whiskies Awards best single malt 2015. Very impressive!
