A remarkable old 'house whisky' for Yate's Wine Lodge.  The Yate's brand originally started in 1884 by Peter and Simon Yates, the Wine Lodge evolved over the years to become the Yates group of pubs and venues, currently with 72 different venues.

This interesting blue label scotch whisky is bottled at 70 proof.

Fukano Distillery Single Cask #284 Flask Fine Wine and Whisky Exclusive 75cl / US Import

Fukano is situated within the city of Kumamoto on the southern island of Kyushu has been distilling since 1823.

They're famous for a diverse offering of Shochus and high quality liqueurs, but a tiny portion of their production is devoted to malted rice distillation. In Japan, these old whiskies are not bottled as such, though they do meet the definition by American standards.

This rare spirit is aged much like bourbon in new charred oak casks. The result is something absolutely sublime and uniquely Japanese.
