Château Tour de Lanoze 1995 Margaux

Ch. Tour de Lanoze is the 2nd wine from Margaux estate, Château Labégorce.  Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, with approximately one-third Merlot and small quantities of Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot.  The wine spent up to 1 year maturing in oak barrels.  1995 was a very good vintage for Bordeaux, with many of the finest still allowing more time to mature yet.

Château Sestignan 1985 Cru Bourgeois

Until 2009, Château Sestignan was a wine producing estate in the Bas-Médoc (labelled simply \"AOC Médoc\") subregion of the Médoc penninsula, Bordeaux.  While operational, their wines were sold under the 1932 Cru Bourgeois Classification of Médoc - commonly seen as the \"everyman\" listing of Médoc quality wines versus the \"aristocratic\" listing of the 1855 Classification.  The wines of AOC Médoc are generally typical Bordeaux-blends - Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, Merlot supported, with minimal amounts of Cabernet Franc.

1985 was a very good year for Bordeaux red wines, though most of which are ripe for drinking and unlikely to offer improvement upon further maturation.

Castillo Perelada Brut Reserva Cava

A Reserva Cava from Castillo Perelada in the far northeast of Spain, just 10km from the French border and coast.  This sparkling wine is made in the same exacting method as for Champagne, using all three permitted Cava grape varieties - Macabeu (40%), Xarello (30%) and Parellada (30%) - and undergoing a secondary-fermentation in the bottle for 15 months.

Conde De Caralt Brut Cava

Brut Nature Cava from the Penedès region in northeast Spain.  In terms of residual sugar, Brut Nature is the driest style of sparkling wine.

Conde de Caralt make their Brut Nature Cava with a blend of Macabeo (60%), Xarel.lo (30%) and Parellada (10%).
