Château Léoville-Las-Cases Saint-Julien 1969 Magnum

Château Léoville-Las-Cases was created in the aftermath of the French Revolution from the gradual spliting-up of the former Domaine de Léoville.  The estate is now owned by Jean-Hubert Delon, owner of Château Potensac (AOC Médoc) and Château Nénin (AOC Pomerol).

The Grande-Vin-de-Léoville is the first wine of Léoville-Las-Cases and is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with small quantities of Cabernet Franc.  This bottle is a 1.5L magnum from the 1969 vintage.

Please note there will be a shipping charge for two bottles.

Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse De Lalande 1979 Magnum

Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse De Lalande was awarded the status of 2nd Growth Grand Gru Classe in the 1855 Classification of Médoc.  The estate's history dates back to at least 1694, however the lengthy name is the result of the division of the one original estate (Château Pichon-Longueville) and the subsequent marriage of one of Baron Pichon-Longueville's daughters to the Count of Lalande.  Since 2007 however, the estate has been owned by the Champagne House of Louis Roederer.

The long-ageing blend of the estate's first wine Grand Vin is generally about 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc, matured for about 18 months in 50:50 new:used oak.  1979 was a good year for Bordeaux red wines.  In addition, the great benefit to magnum-bottles is that the wine matures much slower - and thus longer - than standard bottles.

Please note shipping charge for 2 bottles based on weight.

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.

Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £55.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).
