Yamazaki 1996 Single Sherry Cask #AX70015

We have not seen many official single cask Yamazaki's at auction, perhaps unsuprisingly the whisky is reknowned for being exceptional.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011 from a single sherry butt, matured in Ohmi Aging Cellar.

Cask AX 70015 , this is bottle number 180.

St Magdalene 1979 Rare Malt 19 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

A spectacular bottling of St Magdalene, released as part of Diageo's infamous 'Rare Malt Selection'.  

Distilled in 1979 and bottled as a 19 year old at a healthy 63.80%, this is bottle number 2934.

Please note minor tears and creases on the box.

Oban 16 Year Old Manager’s Dram 200^th Anniversary 1994

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

Bottled to celebrate Oban’s 200^th anniversary, 1794 – 1994  this 16 year old was released exclusively from sherry casks by distillery manager John William and his employees listed on the rear of the bottle.

Bottled July 1994.

Springbank 21 Year Old 

The oldest offering from Springbank, the 21 year old is incredibly popular for drinkers and collectors, usually selling out in shops very quickly!

Presented in quite an eye catching box.

Strathisla 21 Year Old Gordon and Macphail

An older release of Strathisla 21 year old, produced by Gordon and Macphail.

Sullivan's Cove French Oak #HH0423

Sullivan's Cove French Oak has quickly become an very desirable bottle of whisky, particularly after being awarded the best single malt in the world 2014, at the World Whisky Awards - the first time that a Scottish whisky was not given this award.  That's not all it has received great acclaim elsewhere from whisky writers/reviews.

Distilled on 8th August 2000 and bottled on the 26th August 2013, this 13year old whisky was matured exclusively in French oak casks.

Bottle number 452 of 500.

Sullivan's Cove French Oak #HH0424

Distilled on 8th August 2000 and bottled on the 25th January 2012, this 11 year old whisky was matured exclusively in French oak casks.

Springbank 1997 Single Cask 16 Year Old

A new release from Springbank, distilled in June 1997 and bottled from a single cask #07/178-3.  Bottled as a 16 year old in October 2013.

Matured for 10 years in a refill bourbon barrel and a further 6 years in Madeira casks.

Only 630 bottles produced.

Springbank 1989 12 Year Old Rum Wood 

Distilled in 1989  and matured for 12 years in hogsheads and traditional barrels, finished in rum wood.

Bottled April 2002 and limited to 5,700 bottles.

Scapa 14 Year Old 1 Litre

Scapa 14 year old has been discontinued since 2008, when it was replaced by the 16 year old.

Please note there is rust on the inside of the lid.

First released in 1989 and produed in relatively small quantities.

Old Pulteney WK 499 Isabella Fortuna 1 Litre

Replacing the WK209 'Good Hope' Edition the Isabella Fortuna is the second in this travel retail exclusie series, bottled at cask strength 52.0%.

Named after the last remaining 'drifter' boat in Wick Harbour, the Isabella Fortuna.  This limited release of approximately 18,000 bottles is from casks selected by Stuart Harvey, Master Blender at Inver House Distillers Ltd.

Dufftown Tailfire was introduced early in 2014 and is a combination of American and European Oak casks.

Distilled, aged and bottled in Scotland by Donald Fisher produced more recently by Diageo for export markets.

This is from the 'come-back' release in 2012.

Presented in quite an eye catching box.

Southern Coast Batch #001

Produced from a single cask #22, which was a small 100 litre American oak Port cask. This is the original release of 170 bottles from Souterhn Coast an exciting new distillery from south Australia. Only 7 batches of Southern Coast have even been produced with a number of them receiving exceptional international acclaim.  Awarded 92.5 points by Jim Murray, batch 002 received 96.5 points.  The distillery has since ceased production.

Bottle number 27 of 170.

Perhaps even more intriguing about this whisky is that Southern Coast state this on their website; As this is the first release whisky from a brand new distillery we have classified all 170 bottles as museum stock and we are very happy that our first ever expression won a bronze medal.

We don't expect to see many of these at all, a very exciting bottle to have in this auction.
