Benromach Monastrell Finish

Finished for a period 12 months in Monastrell wine casks, bottled in November 2008 and limited to 920 bottles.

Benromach Port Wood Finish

Finished for a period 8 years in Port Wine casks, distilled in 2000 and bottled in December 2012.  

I believe that calling this a 'finishing period' might be taking the definition a touch too far.

Benromach Sassicaia Wood Finish 1st Edition

Matured for over 5 years, this spent 27 months maturing in Sassicaia Casks prior to bottling in August 2006.

Limited to 3,000 bottles

Bowmore 10 Year Old Tempest Batch #4

Matured exclusively in first fill bourbon casks.

Black Bottle 10 Year Old

Now discontinued, the 10 year old Black Bottle was incredibly popular - heavy on the Islay malts from most of the islands distilleries.

Bruichladdich Bere Barley 2006

Bere barley, Gramineae, Hordeum Vulgare is one of the oldest cultivated cereals, rarely used these days except on a few occasions.

Grown at Kynagarry Farm exclusively for this release of only 7,650 bottles.

Benromach Origins Port Pipes Batch #2

The second of Benromach's origin series, matured exclusively in Port Pipes with low phenol level of 4ppm.

Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2010.

The first of Benromach's origin series.  

The first batch was distilled in 1999 using Golden Promise barley and a low peating level of 4ppm prior to being matured exclusively in sherry casks until 2008.

The introductory malt from Benromach, now discontinued.

80% matured in sherry cask and 20% in bourbon casks.

Benromach Sassicaia Wood Finish 2nd Edition

Distilled in 2002 and bottled in August 2009 after receiving a 24 month finishing period in Sassicaia casks, the second Sassicaia wood finish from Benromach.

Limited to 4,000 bottles

Balvenie Single Barrel 12 Year Old 

Balvenie Single Barrel 12 year old was introduced a couple of years ago, a single cask is bottled at time.

'This bottle is one of no more than 300 drawn from a single cask'.

Cask #12745, this is bottle number 256.

Balvenie 12 Year Old Double Wood

The Double Wood is a malt which gains its distinctive character and name from being matured in two wood types.

During maturation it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill European oak sherry cask. 

Please note there is some rust on the lid.

Balvenie 12 Year Old Double Wood

The Double Wood is a malt which gains its distinctive character and name from being matured in two wood types.

When Benromach Organic was released it was a huge success, becoming impossible to find as word spread.

Benromach Organic is the first Soil Association certified Organic single malt whisky.

Please note there is a dent on the tin which was difficult to show in the image.

The third release within Benromach's origin series, distilled in 2000 from Optic barley and bottled in 2010.

Matured exclusively in sherry casks at 2ppm.

Matured in charred oak barrels, hence the name 'Black Barrel'.
