A stunning and particularly rare bottle of Port Ellen released in 1998 to mark the 25th Anniversary of Port Ellen Maltings.

This has been widely reviewed and acclaimed reaching a cracking 94 points on WhiskyFun.com, certainly a Port Ellen for any serious collector.

Port Ellen 1979 22 Year Old 1st Release

The first of the incredibly popular Port Ellen annual releases.  Distilled in 1979 and bottled 22 years later in 2001, bottled at cask strength and limited to 6,000 bottles, this is bottle 3597.

Port Ellen is the lost jewel in the Islay crown. Closure in 1983 has enabled this distillery to receive a near mythical amount of love and respect. As stocks get thinner on the ground, these bottles become rarer and rarer

The fourth in the wildly popular Port Ellen annual releases.  Distilled in 1978 and bottled 25 years later in 2004, bottled at cask strength and limited to 5,100 bottles, this is bottle 1,419.

St Magdalene 1979 Rare Malt 19 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

A spectacular bottling of St Magdalene, released as part of Diageo's infamous 'Rare Malt Selection'.  

Distilled in 1979 and bottled as a 19 year old at a healthy 63.80%, this is bottle number 2934.

Please note minor tears and creases on the box.

Clynelish 1972 Douglas Laing 30 Year Old

Bottled by Douglas Laing, this Clynelish was distilled in November 1972 and bottled in July 2003.

Only 126 bottles produced.

Please note there has been slight wear and tear to the box, overall condition is excellent.

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Coleburn was distilled in 1979 and bottled as a 21 year old at 59.40%.

Port Ellen 1978 6th Release 20cl

The smaller version of the Port Ellen 6th release, distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2006 as a 27 year old.

Caol Ila 1975 20 Year Old Rare Malt (US Import)75cl

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled in 1975 and bottled in 1995 as a 20 year old, there were eight releases of Caol Ila under the Rare Malt Selection.   This is a 75cl bottled at 61.12% for the US market, this is bottle number 1457.

Please note there was no box for this release.

Constantino's Colheita 1910 

A lovely old bottle of Port produced by Constantino.

Sociedade dos Vinhos do Porto Constantino was founded in 1877 by Constantino de Almeida who purchased two key vineyards at this time; Quinta do Crastro and Quinta de Sobreira.  Followhing Constantino de Almeida's death in 1922 the house fell into his three sons hands and became well known as a prestigous port wine company. Eventuall, in 1958 the port house was merged with the famous Hunt Roope & Co group (established 1650) which had recently been purchased by Ferreira and consqeuently Sogrape.

Colheita is single vintage tawny port matured for a number of years (usually) in wood, now-a-days these bottlings carry the date at which the port was bottled, unfortunately we don't have this information for this item.  Colheita, Portugese for 'harvest' or 'vintage' legally requires the port to be matured for no less than seven years but in some cases extends well beyond this.

The oldest offering from Springbank, the 21 year old is incredibly popular for drinkers and collectors, usually selling out in shops very quickly!

Presented in quite an eye catching box.

Cardhu 12 Year Old 1970s

A very old bottling of Cardhu 12 year old, circa 1970s.  Includes a lovely leaflet explaining why Cardhu is so rare.

Sullivan's Cove French Oak #HH0423

Sullivan's Cove French Oak has quickly become an very desirable bottle of whisky, particularly after being awarded the best single malt in the world 2014, at the World Whisky Awards - the first time that a Scottish whisky was not given this award.  That's not all it has received great acclaim elsewhere from whisky writers/reviews.

Distilled on 8th August 2000 and bottled on the 26th August 2013, this 13year old whisky was matured exclusively in French oak casks.

Bottle number 452 of 500.

Sullivan's Cove French Oak #HH0424

Port Charlotte 2002 Smith Reserve  7 Year Old

A independant bottling of Port Charlotte, carrying the title 'Smith Reserve

Distilled 8th November 2002 and bottled 19th April 2010, matured in cask #1213. 

The single cask yielded 230 bottles.

Springbank 1997 Single Cask 16 Year Old

A new release from Springbank, distilled in June 1997 and bottled from a single cask #07/178-3.  Bottled as a 16 year old in October 2013.

Matured for 10 years in a refill bourbon barrel and a further 6 years in Madeira casks.

Only 630 bottles produced.

Port Charlotte PC6

Port Charlotte is a heavily peated spirit produced by Bruichladdich in remembrance of a long lost distillery at Port Charlotte on Islay, which closed in 1929. 

Distilled in 2001 and Released in 2007 this 6 year old whisky was limited to 18,000 bottles.

Bottle number 12454 of 18,000.

Caol Ila 1998 Feis Ile 2013

Release in June 2013 for the annual Feis Ile, this Caol Ila was specially selected by Billy Stitchell.

Bottle number 0584 of 3,000

Billy said this about how the whisky matured:

“Spirit distilled in 1998 has been triple-cask matured. For 12 years it rested in a combination of Refill Butts, Hogsheads and Barrels. The vatted whisky was then allowed to mature for several months in active hogshead casks to impart a spicy/oaky note to the existing delicate Caol Ila smoke. Finally it was treated to a final gentle maturation in European oak.”

Caol Ila 2000 Feis Ile 2011

Released for the annual Feis Ile, in 2011 this Caol Ila was hand selected by Billy Mitchell and was matured in sherry cask 301696.

Bottle number 346.

Springbank 1989 12 Year Old Rum Wood 

Distilled in 1989  and matured for 12 years in hogsheads and traditional barrels, finished in rum wood.

Bottled April 2002 and limited to 5,700 bottles.

Distilled in September 1998 and bottled by Gordon and Macphail in August 2011 this 12 year old Caperdonich was matured in refill sherry hogsheads.
