Yamazaki 1996 Single Sherry Cask #AX70015

We have not seen many official single cask Yamazaki's at auction, perhaps unsuprisingly the whisky is reknowned for being exceptional.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2011 from a single sherry butt, matured in Ohmi Aging Cellar.

Cask AX 70015 , this is bottle number 180.

Hillside 1970 25 Year Old Rare Malt

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Hillside, more widely known as Glen Esk released a handful of  Rare Malt bottlings, two of them were released in Europe from 1970 and 1971 as 25 years old.

This particular bottled was distilled in 1970 and bottled as a 25 year old.

Saint Magnus, follows the initial Earl Magnus release but sees the once ruler of Orkney become a Saint.  The second within the trilogy, with the same elaborate packaging and a 12 year old whisky, again bottled at cask strength.

Only 11,994 bottles of the Saint Magnus were created.

A Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) bottling of Highland Park distilled in November 1995 and bottled in October 2009 as a 13 year old.

This single cask Highland Park was released within the SMWS Far Flung Flavours range of whiskies, hence the slightly more eccentric label design, the single cask yielded 311 bottles.

When browsing the bidding history on a specific lot,  the list of recent bidders is shown as 'anonymised bidders' with the exception of any bids placed through your account - which would appear as your username.

Customers across the world can choose to sell their rum with Whisky Auctioneer. Our Client Service team will support sellers by providing valuations for their bottles and advice on the best way to get their whisky to us for sale into our auctions.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
