1 Mystery Speyside 1992 Refill Hogshead #1408796 26 Year Old / Glenlivet

Filled on 17 June 1992 into refill hogshead #1408796, this mystery Speyside single malt is actually from Glenlivet distillery. We have it on very good authority that this particular cask is the sister of the one used in Spirit Still's \"Give 'N' Tell\" release.

Please note that this cask was purchased on the basis that Glenlivet cannot be used on any labelling when bottled and this condition applies to the successful bidder.

The most recent re-gauging values have been taken from an invoice dated 20 March 2018:

  • RLA 98.3 Litres
  • New Bulk 191.6 Litres
  • Strength 51.4%

All relevant paperwork will accompany this purchase. Ownership of the cask will be transferred once payment is processed post auction. Any costs relating to storage, removal from storage, bottling and duty/tax payments will become the responsibility of the new owner.

The cask is currently held in a Chivas Brother's warehouse near Keith, Morayshire, where there will be an annual storage fee.

Please note if the new owner is a UK revenue trader (business), they will need to be registered with HMRC and hold a WOWGR certificate.

If they are a revenue trader outside the UK, they will need to have a Duty Representative in the UK (the Duty Rep would be registered with HMRC and there is usually an annual charge for their services)

UK

1 Sherried Blended Scotch Whisky 2012 Hogshead #13 / Edrington

A heavily sherried blend produced by Edrington, filled in to hogshead #13 in August 2012. The Edrington Group are the owners of The Macallan, Glenrothes, Glenturret and Highland Park distilleries. As a result this cask will be made up of a combination of these distilleries. The grain component is almost certainly from North British distillery in Edinburgh which is jointly owned by Edrington and Diageo. 30% Malt Content.

Re-gauged on 14th February 2018:

  • RLA 156.38 Litres
  • New Bulk 237.6 Litres
  • Strength 65.8%

All relevant paperwork will accompany this purchase. Ownership of the cask will be transferred once payment is processed post auction. Any costs relating to storage, removal from storage, bottling and duty/tax payments will become the responsibility of the new owner.

The cask is currently held in a Whisky Broker warehouse in the Scottish Lowlands.

Barton 1792 Sweet Wheat Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Named after the year in which Kentucky joined the United States, the Sweet Wheat release, which replaces the traditional rye in the bourbon mashbill with wheat. Classic wheated bourbons includes Pappy Van Winkle, Old Fitzgerald and Maker's Mark.

Barton 1792 is a historic distillery, previously the site of both Tom Moore, and simply the Barton distillery. Now owned by the Sazerac company, two warehouse collapses in 2018 have made the possibility of future shortages of this excellent bourbon quite likely.

Barton 1792 High Rye Kentucky Straight Bourbon

The fifth release commission by Sazerac from the Barton 1792 distillery.

Barton was known for already having a greater than most Rye content in it's mash bill, so this bottling should be even more intense.

Barton 1792 Full Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Sazerac company's Barton 1792 distillery, bottled at the bourbon's original 125 barrel entry proof.

The Barton 1792 distillery is one of Kentucky's oldest, having also been called simply Barton, and Thomas Moore over the years. The site was badly damaged in 2018 when both halves of one of its main warehouses collapsed in the same month, ensuring a likely shortage to come.

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.

Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £55.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).
