The Last Drop 50 Year Old / with Miniature 5cl

An amazing blend, not only because the whisky is 50 years old but because it contains over 50 whiskies including many from now closed distilleries. The whiskies were blended at birth - something rarely seen these days which means that for 50 years the flavours have been harmonising and interacting with each other. The majority of this was sold as a 30 year old in 1995, but the remainder was given a secondary maturation in Oloroso sherry casks for a further 20 years. 

Bottled by hand in 2015 and sealed with wax, the bottle of The Last Drop 50 Year Old nestles in a luxurious leather case, along with a 50ml miniature, so that owners can taste this magnificent liquid before deciding to open the bottle.

You will also find within the box a special compartment containing a signed and numbered leather-bound book, certifying your bottle of The Last Drop 50 Year Old, and with room for your own tasting notes as you explore this extraordinary blend.

A very impressive Moon Import bottling of Tamnavulin, matured for 20 years in sherry wood.

Talisker 1978 40 Year Old Bodega Series No. 1

A beautifully-presented addition to the upper end of Talisker's range. 

The Bodega Series aims to re-imagine the flavour profile of older, heavily-sherried Talisker whilst using modern techniques. 

This first release of three in the series pays tribute to the Delgado bodega, the oldest in the region around Jerez. Delgado's speciality is Amontillado, and five of their most special casks were used for this Talisker's final period of maturation.

Willett Family Estate 22 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon #C20D / Wheated

A wheated Willett, released on the 16th September 2015 at the Willet gift shop, this well-aged Bourbon was matured in barrel #C20D. The Willett Family Reserve is bottled by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers using barrels sourced from other companies. They have stock from nearly every Kentucky distillery in their warehouses, with their wheated bourbon of this age most likely coming from Bernheim.

This was a special release for the Kentucky Bourbon Festival.

Tomatin 1981 Single Cask 32 Year Old #001

The very first cask distilled at Tomatin in 1981 this was aged 32 years in Oloroso sherry wood and bottled in 2014 in this stunning decanter.

Cask #001 was an Oloroso sherry butt.

This is bottle 32 of 405.

Taketsuru 25 Year Old Pure Malt

A very rare bottling of Taketsuru, originally introduced in 2012 this blended malt contains casks from Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.

It is extremely limited and only 120 bottles were available throughout Europe. 

The Real McTavish 1950s/60s Ainslie and Heilbron

​A blended scotch produced by Ainslie and Heibron in the 1950s/60s, so likely to include generous amounts of Old Clynelish / Brora!

Talisker 1977 Cask Strength 35 Year Old

A 35 year old Talisker distilled in 1977 and released in 2012.

Matured in a combination of refill American and European oak casks.

One of 3090 bottles. 

Tomatin 1962 42 Year Old / Jumping Jack

An unusual bottling of Tomatin, distilled in 1962 and bottled for Jumping Jack Production in Berlin. 

Released as part of the Auld Distillers Collection, this is one of 73 bottles. 

William L Weller 2017 Release

Released within the famous and eagerly awaited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection which celebrates historic bourbon brands and figures.

William Larue Weller was a 19th century whiskey rectifier and distiller, who's W.L. Weller and Sons company was run by the legendary Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle. The Weller and Van Winkle brands are both produced at Buffalo Trace distillery nowadays, distilled to very similar old Stitzel-Weller recipes, and are among the most sought after bourbons on the market.

One of approximately 19,000 bottles from 155 handpicked barrels.

The 2017 release of the William L Weller is aged 12 years.

Tullibardine 1966 Single Cask #1112

A 1966 vintage single cask from Highland distillery, Tullibardine. Distilled in 1966 and bottled in April 2006 from a single sherry butt.

Cask #1112 yielded 436 bottles, this is number 245.

Trois Rivieres 1964 Martinique Rum

A Rhum Agricole from the Trois Rivieres distillery in Sainte Luce on the Island of Martinique.

Rhum Agricoles are distilled exclusively from pressed sugar cane (no molasses) and typically offer light, grassy characteristics.

Tomatin 1967 40 Year Old

The Tomatin 40 year old is highly acclaimed and widely sought after.

Distilled in 1967 and matured in a combination of seven ex-bourbon hogshead casks.

Wild Turkey 1998 Russell's Reserve

An exceptional one time release, this Russell's Reserve was distilled in 1998 at Wild Turkey, matured until 2015 and then bottled at 102.2 Proof. 

Bottle number 1766 of 2070 drawn from 23 barrels.

The original batch of Russel's Reserve was bottled in 1998 in celebration of Master Distiller, Jimmy Russell's 45th anniversary with the company. The barrels for this release were warehoused that same year with the specific intention of releasing a second Russel's Reserve with the 1998 vintage to honour the achievement again.

Tomatin 1981 Single Cask 32 Year Old #001

The very first cask distilled at Tomatin in 1981 this was aged 32 years in Oloroso sherry wood and bottled in 2014 in this stunning decanter.

Cask #001 was an Oloroso sherry butt.

This is a surplus bottle to the official 405 run, and is numbered 415 and presented without the exterior packaging.

William L. Weller 2015 Release

The 2015 release within the famous and eagerly awaited Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, which celebrates historic bourbon brands and figures. Buffalo Trace's parent company, Sazerac, purchased the Weller brand from United Distillers in 1999, 7 years after they had shut down the distilling operation at the legendary Stitzel-Weller.

Tomatin distilled in 1976 and matured in a single sherry butt then bottled in 2011.

The Drunken Master Blended Malt Whisky Agency / Art Taiwan - Beijing Opera Facial Masks 2 x 70cl​

A joint bottling between the Art Taiwan and the Mash Tun Tokyo by The Whisky Agency.

This lot comprises of two full 70cl whiskies bottled by the Drunken Master. 

A 35 year old blended malt distilled in 1980, matured in a sherry butt and bottled in 2015 at 47.4%, alongside a 1992 Burnside bottled in 2015.

\"Burnside\" is Balvenie that has been \"teaspooned\" with Glenfiddich. This practice allowed brand protective single malt producers to sell casks for blending purposes but ensure that they are not released as independent bottlings. The 23 year old Burnside is bottled at 49.3%. 

This lot has a 2 bottle shipping fee. 

White Horse 1940s / US Import​

Exported to America by Browne Vinters based in New York, this particular bottle of White Horse was bottled with a spring cap, likely towards the end of the 1940' based on the tax seal..

Wild Turkey 12 Year Old Beyond Duplication 1990s

A limited edition small batch bottling of Wild Turkey 12 year old, bottled from a select 600 barrels at the expected 101 US proof.

The Wild Turkey distillery, originally known as Boulevard, was built in 1869 in Tyrone, Kentucky. The name was not Wild Turkey until 1941 when some, shared on a hunting trip, was referred to as \"some of that wild turkey whiskey.\"

Tomatin 1966 Signatory Vintage 26 Year Old

This Tomatin was distilled in 1966 and bottled by Signatory Vintage in 1992.

Whistlepig 14 Year Old Single Barrel Rye / The Boss Hog 4th Edition

The fourth edition of this highly sought after whisky: The Black Prince.

The Boss Hog range is a straight rye whiskey from the Vermont based distillery, Whistlepig Farm. Although they have recently began bottling their own distillate, older expressions like this have been sourced from other distilleries, generally either MGP in Indiana, or Alberta Distillers in Canada.

Barrel #22 was aged 14 years and has been finished in Armagnac barrels from France.

All recent Boss Hog bottlings feature a Danforth Pewter stopper.

W.L. Weller 12 Year Old

An older release of W.L. Weller, the original wheated bourbon. The Weller brand was historically produced by the Van Winkle family at Stitzel-Weller distillery.

This bourbon however was distilled at Buffalo Trace by the Sazerac company, who purchased the brand from United Distillers in 1999. In her book But Always Fine Bourbon, Sally Van Winkle Campbell claims they did not have the exact Weller recipe until their partnership with her brother, Julian Van Winkle III was agreed in 2002. Undoubtedly a nod of approval from the family for the modern day product.

Willett Family Estate 14 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon #2366

A single barrel bourbon, bottled by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers at Willett distillery. Drawn from Barrel #2366.

KBD's warehouses contain bourbon from the majority of the Kentucky distilleries, but most of it is sourced from neighbouring Heaven Hill.

Bottle 114 of only 143 released in November 2015 and exclusively available at the Willett gift shop.

Thomas H Handy Sazerac Rye 2017 Release

Part of Buffalo Trace's annual antique collection. Bottled at hot 63.6% alcohol, they do get higher ABV than this but it's still impressive!

The 2011 release won Jim Murray's Whisky of the Year! 

Buffalo Trace's Antique Collection celebrates various historic bourbon brands and figures. The Thomas H. Handy rye is named after the company's founder, and features an image of the eponymous Sazerac Coffee House where everything started on the bottle.

Wild Turkey 101 Proof Straight Rye / Christmas Rye

A rare old Christmas release of the classic Wild Turkey 101 proof rye, bottled in the late1990s.

This was once one of the most popular rye whiskies on the market in the US, however supply issues caused it to begin disappearing from shelves.

With the rye whisky revival of recent times, the Wild Turkey rye too has returned, and is one of the few on the market not being sourced from MGP, and is still distilled at Wild Turkey.

This is a fine example from the 101 proof straight rye's heyday.

Willett Family Estate 13 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon #1318

Tamdhu 1971 Gordon and MacPhail 2013

This Gordon & MacPhail bottling of Tamdhu was distilled in 1971 and bottled in 2013, very impressive at over 40 years old.

This is part of the MacPhail's Collection series and comes gift boxed with a glass.

Weller 8 Year Old CYPB

In November 2015 Buffalo Trace launched their \"Craft Your Perfect Bourbon\" website, inviting fans to theory craft a bourbon from start to finish, choosing the mashbill, choose your warehouse, age and proof at bottling.

Of the 100,239 people who took part in this fun little experiment, the vast majority settled on the same criteria: a Wheated Bourbon aged for 8 years at the top of the Warehouse and bottled between 90 and 99 proof.

Given the clear and overwhelming demand for such a product, Buffalo Trace went ahead and created the Weller Craft Your Perfect Bourbon, or C.Y.P.B. for short
