Glendronach 15 Year Old Revival / Pre-2015

Once one of the best rich and heavily sherried whiskies available, the Glendronach 15 year old was discontinued in 2015 due to a shortage of maturing stock after the distillery's five year mothballing between 1996 and 2001.

Aptly named, the expression did indeed undergo a 'Revival,' re-launched in 2018. This is the pre-2015 version and although they are packaged as the same product, they are two subtly different whiskies. The current Revival is a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry cask malt, whereas this original is exclusively matured in the former. Pre-1996 distilled Glendronach like this also has a gentle peat influence due to its use in the first few hours in the malt kiln when the distillery still did its own in-house malting. This is no longer the case.

Glendronach 15 Year Old Revival

The Glendronach 15 year old was one of their most popular expressions, and the news in 2015 that it was to be discontinued was met with much dismay. The distillery was mothballed between 1996 and 2001, meaning the maturing stock in the warehouses eventually ran too thin to sustain it.

Aptly named though, the Revival reappeared in September 2018. Although they are packaged as the same product, this and its pre-2015 predecessor are subtly different whiskies. While the older release was matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks, the revived expression is a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez matured whisky.

Give 'N' Tell 1992 Spirit Still 25 Year Old / Glenlivet

Distilled at an undisclosed Speyside in 1992, matured in an ex-Bourbon barrel, and bottled as a 25 Year Old.

Like other mystery malts of this range, the description may have some indication as to the distillery of origin.

\"GIVE 'N' TELL is a Speyside single malt whisky from a distillery located in one of Scotland's most famous whisky glens. There is nothing illicit about this whisky and pistols at the ready to anyone who says otherwise. By George, this is a great dram. Wordsmiths will divine the origin.\"

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.

Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £55.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).
