Yamazakura 16 Year Old

Yamazakura distillery was closed in 1998. This is a blend of 80% grain and 20% malt whiskies that have been blended and matured in bourbon barrels.

A fantastic bottle of Special Reserve distilled in pot stills, and aged at Yamazaki. This is a specially labelled zodiac year of the dragon edition.

Special Reserve was first launched in 1969 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Suntory.

An incredible example of Suntory whisky, long discontinued. Presented in the unique dumpy bottle.

Although these bottles were normally labelled as blends, this one is stated as being from Yamazaki Distillery. The neck label states \"Guaranteed to be a blend of the choice whiskies produced in our distillery.\"

This is the first edition of the Special Reserve, launched in 1969 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Suntory.

Bottled in 2015, this Yamazaki was an exclusive for The Whisky Shop. 

Yamazakura Newborn 2016 Asaka Distillery Cask #6214

This newborn spirit is an unblended malt whisky, bottled in early maturation. 

This particular cask was a first fill American bourbon barrel.

Distilled on the 16th of November 2016, casked on the 21st of the same and bottled on the 27th of June 2017.

Yellowstone Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Yellowstone is a historic pre-prohibition bourbon brand, created by J.B. Dant at the Gesthemane distillery, although was associated more closely with Yellowstone distillery (producer of Ezra Brooks) and its owners, the Thompson family (of Glenmore distillery).

Following the closure of Yellowstone by its new owners, United Distillers, in the 1990s, the brand was eventually procured by Luxco who, as with all of their products, have it distilled and bottled under contract at Heaven Hill. This mid-2000s bottle is one of theirs.

In 2015, Paul and Steve Beam, descendents of the Beam and Dant families, reached an agreement with Luxco to begin producing the brand at their new Limestone Branch distillery.

Ye Monks Special Scotch 1 Litre

Ye Monks special scotch whisky carries the tag line 'A Curious Old Whisky' along with a lovely image of some thirsty old monks.

Distilled, aged and bottled in Scotland by Donald Fisher, produced more recently by Diageo for export markets.
