Four Roses Single Barrel #6-1J / Al Young 50th Anniversary

A single barrel exclusive bottling from Four Roses. The barrel in question was selected by Whisky Magazine to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand's Senior Ambassador, Al Young. 

The Four Roses recipe they chose was OESQ.

O means distilled at Four Roses, E means mash bill was 75% corn, 20% Rye and 5% malted barley, S means Straight whiskey and Q refers to one of Four Roses five proprietary yeast strains. 

Matured for 8 Years, 5 Months in barrel # 6-1J which rested in warehouse MW.

Famous Grouse 30 Year Old Blended Malt

A 30 year old blended-malt from one of Scotland's favourite brands. Amongst the malt whiskies blended, the box states Macallan and Highland Park feature therein.

Four Roses 14 Year Old Single Barrel #53-2F / Elliott's Select

A single barrel exclusive bottling from Four Roses, bottled in 2016 to commemorate the installation of Brent Elliott as their new Master Distiller. He succeeded Jim Rutledge the year before.

Bottled from barrel #53-2F at 14 years old, which was matured in warehouse QN.

Four Roses Fine Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon / Japanese Import

A bottling of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from the Four Roses distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Once always stated as a 6 year old, former Four Roses Master Distiller, Jim Rutledge, has confirmed that the modern iteration is a blend of 5.5 to 10 year old bourbons.

Four Roses was produced by Seagram's in the 1990s, although the brand and distillery would later be sold to the Kirin Brewing company in the early 2000s after the break up of the Seagram's company. The brand was not available for purchase in the US until this point.

Japanese import.

A single estate Champagne Cognac produced by Frapin at Chateau de Fontpinot.

Fernet-Branca Digestif 1 Litre 1960s

With a secret formula, passed down through the Branca family this digestive bitter liqueur contains 27 herbs from four continents. Including aloe from South Africa, rhubarb from China, gentian from France, galingale from India or Sri Lanka, chamomile from Italy or Argentina.

On top of that there are flowers, herbs, roots and plants used for alcoholic brews, extracts and teas that, blended in a special mixture. Fernet-Branca is then aged for at least one year in oak barrels

Foursquare 2005 Single Cask 12 Year Old / Milan Rum Festival 2018

Single cask rum distilled at Foursquare distillery in Barbados and bottled at 12 years old.

Distilled in November 2005 and bottled in May 2018 after the cask was selected by Andrea Giannone and Giuseppe Dolci for an exclusive Milan Rum Festival release.

Four Roses Single Barrel Reserve #A/406

An older version of Four Roses popular single barrel.

Four Roses is produced in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky by the Kirin Brewing company, who purchased the brand and distillery from longtime business partners Seagram's  following their dissolution in the the 2000s. Amazingly, Four Roses was not available as a straight bourbon, let alone a single barrel in the US market until then.

In February 2002, Kirin Brewery Company of Japan purchased the Four Roses brand. Although this is an exclusive release for the Japanese market, it was actually more uncommon to find Four Roses in the US when this was introduced in 1992. Four Roses was unavailable as a straight bourbon in its home country for a long time until Kirin reintroduced it  to the American market.

80% of the liquid is over 8 years old, while the other 20% is 10 years or older.

Four Roses Premium American Whiskey Quart 1970s

An 1970s 1 quart size bottling of Four Roses.

At this point the Four Roses straight bourbon was unavailable in the US market and was produced exclusively for export, primarily the Japanese and European markets. Instead, Seagram's bottled this blended whiskey for its American consumers. This was produced and bottled at a combination of their Dundalk distillery in Maryland (closed since the early 1990s), and their famous Indiana distillery, nowadays known as MGP.

The blend is 25% straight whiskies, and 75% grain neutral spirits.

Foursquare 9 Year Old Port Cask Finish Rum

Released in September 2014 and matured in Bourbon and Port.

This is blend #162, part of the Exceptional Cask Selection series from R.L. Seale & Co.

Finlaggan Port Wood Finish Cask Strength / Feis Ile 2017​

The second Feis Ile release from Finlaggan, the mystery independent Islay single malt.

Rosé in colour and only limited to 900 bottles, this heavily peated cask strength whisky has been finished in a Port Pipe, which leads to this island dram being very fruity indeed.

Fernando A. de Terry Centenario 1 Litre 1960s

Fernando A. de Terry y Brucet started his firm in 1835, then after various difficulties, re-established it in 1865, 

This brandy was bottled to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of its re-founding. 

Fratelli Branca Saint Andrew's Rhum circa 1950s

An old Italian bottle of rum, produced by Fratelli Branca around the 1950s or possibly earlier judging by the questionable content of what remains of the label.

There are no visible measurements for strength or capacity on the label remnants.

An independent bottling of Fettercairn from The Vintage Malt Whisky Co, produced for the Japanese market.

Distilled in 2008 and bottled at 7 years old after finishing in a port cask.
